This is a little bit of France in busy Canterbury. Petite with a very pleasant garden area, unpretentious and very friendly. Excellent food for lunch,

We had walked the Lenghts and Breadths of Canterbury trying to find somewhere that did something lighter than the usual Burger, Pile of Pasta, Pizza or overpriced Sarnie. We spotted this place due to the beautiful display of homemade cakes visable from the street. We were soon sat down and opted for Chicken Salads which looked both appetising and refreshing.... More

Delightful, quirky, Franglais café. Lots of lovely French pastries and a nice courtyard at the rear. Great place for morning coffee and a first or second breakfast.

We were recommended the Croque Monsieur by someone my wife knows, and reckoned it was the best they'd tasted. Clearly they haven't had one in France or Belgium. On the day we went, it was two slices of what looked like white sliced loaf, a distinct lack of any cheese I could taste (certainly not Emmental or Gruyere), a thin... More

I go here whenever I am in Canterbury to absorb the wonderful French atmosphere and enjoy the food. It's a quaint little place with a lovely garden in the back which is very pleasant on sunny days. Dogs are welcome and its a great place to take your best friend. They serve huge well-filled baguettes and good coffee and hot... More

My wife and I stopped here recently whilst visiting Canterbury for the first time. We had a gorgeous French pastry each along with our cups of coffee, everything was delicious and the staff were all very polite and attentive. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Cafe St Pierre has been at the bottom of the High Street as long as I can remember and offers authentic French fare. Surroundings and food/coffee excellent.

After looking forward to trying this quaint looking place for months, we sadly never had a chance to try anything as the waitress was so hostile and rude to fellow customers that we felt we had to leave. This particular waitress was charging about in a flap and clearly very harassed, being very curt to a neighbouring table when they... More
