We had an early dinner here mid week, we were a party of 10. This restaurant has very nice surroundings and is manned by very attentive staff. There was a good selection of dishes on the menu, some standards and also something a little different. I had the Four Ducks {meat and pate selection}, pan fried Sea Bass with fishcakes... More

Lovely Resaurant with great food a nice lunch time deal two courses for £14.95. Pizzas looked amazing and the pecan and toffee pudding was to die for if you like very sweet things. The service was great and the atmosphere is nice. My only comment/tip would be don't sit near the door it gets quite cold every time someone comes... More

We enjoyed the ambience and the food. The staff were friendly and knowledgable about the menu. The starter of sushi was excellent.

Sophie and her team hosted the Canterbury Young Professionals at Café du Soleil last week. The event space upstairs was well decorated, the food was delicious and the service was faultless! No request was too much and the event would not have gone as smoothly as it did had it not been for Sophie and her team. Thank you Café... More

After a wander through Canterbury, headed to the Westgate end of Canterbury & decided to try here for a bite to eat. Greeted by polite staff & taken to our table. Quite busy with atmosphere even on a Wednesday night, not always easy to find for a mid week date night.. Both chose pizzas which were delicious.

Not the first time I have been here and defo won't be the last. Me and my boyfriend went here on a busy Saturday, it wasn't a pain for them to seat us. We opted for the two course meal and both had the calamari and confit duck. The calamari is amazing here, I have it everytime. My boyfriend hated... More

Situated in close proximity to Canterbury centre. Fantastic meal, friendly and professional staff and venue classy and stylish. Little more than average prices but quality of food represented this. We had the pre 6.30pm menu which was extremely well priced and beautifully presented; beef carpaccio to start and duck confit with mash and kale - superb! Would highly recommend.

Cafe du Soleil is situated beside the river Stour in Canterbury occupying a former 18th century wool store and is accessed by its own bridge over the river. The building was restored with a grant from English Heritage and showcases the extensive use of reclaimed building material from the 14C city wall.

Our cuisine draws influence from Provence in southern France, and from Italy, to create a modern Mediterranean cuisine. The menu changes with the seasons, and much of our food is cooked in our wood burning oven, fed with locally sourced wood from managed forest.
