Simple... Helpful staff, accommodating for our young family (12 week old in a pram). Great food, bit pricey for the potion Size but it's definitely not the quantity you pay for. They do a set menu for 25 pound which was definitely worth it served till 7pm. English wine on the menu which always good to see. Busy early on... More

I had booked this restaurant on 21/7 for my wife's birthday. In the past this restaurant had proved very good with excellent food and service, on attendance I found that my usual table had been taken over by a large group and my wife and I were shoved between another large group. No effort was made to rectify this. In... More

I have eaten here twice and both times it has been a good experience. The food is fresh and very good quality and the staff are friendly and professional.

Thoroughly recommend. Really good starters. Crab & cockle popcorn packed full of flavour, as was the venison. Fabulous roast pork. Vegetables cooked to perfection, which is unusual. Absolutely faultless. Will definitely return. Service with a smile too & good value. A really lovely Sunday roast. Generous portions and beautifully cooked and presented.

How pleasant to find a good quality restaurant that it's part of a chain, but is in the "reasonable" mid-price category! As visitors to Canterbury and the Cathedral we were amazed at the number of people and the many eating places from which to choose. Deeson's was just round the corner from the Butter Cross and the Cathedral Gateway, and... More

we were invited to have lunch there with our friends. They have the normal menu and tapas which are both good . Good services, good food. They will remind you not to order too many dishes if you are trying Tapas, just 3-4 would be enough. Fast cooking, don't have to wait for too long. Have to try their butter,... More

I had the bad parts, my partner the good. My starter of crab, bland and small. My marsh lamb with garlic potatoes, no good. I left the lamb as it was tough and fatty. Nobody asked me why I had left it. My partner had the chicken and pea risotto, this tasty, but the panacotta to follow, not vey tasty.... More

Yet another restaurant serving "fresh", "local", British food. Nothing wrong with this. And the food was indeed fresh local and British, but it's not enough I am afraid to make it a good restaurant. My cod was overcooked to annihilation, spinach salted twice, bread buns smashed on one side and yet presented. I asked to a waiter to recommend a... More
