Friendly staff and good service which is why I rated average. Without its staff, this place is no better than pizza hut and I'd have rated it as poor. Starter was only luke warm. Main was cooked to death...Italian restaurant with over cooked pasta...Really? Not...More

Sunday afternoon - we didn’t have to wait for a table. First impressions were good, loved the interior and the staff were helpful. Loved the starters and mains. We also had ice cream which was lovely. The one problem we had was with the timings...More

We had a large group and the service was really slick. We were sat in the haunted room which gave the evening some atmosphere. Starter was king prawns and chilli which was very nice but the prawns had not been shelled. Main was a hanging...More

Popped in to sample vegan menu as there was a BOGOF offer on. I’ve been vegetarian for about 6 months and was impressed with the options. Service was excellent - friendly and helpful staff who were very knowledgeable regarding the different dietary options. The was...More

Late lunch proved to be very disappointing with a kid's spaghetti bolognese and a 'specials' pulled beef and venison strozzapreti consisting of pasta swimming in gravy with very little meat to be seen. The staff although "surprised" offered nothing to rectify the situation and to...More

Having heard good reports, I decided on a whim to try out Zizzi's - our first visit. The restaurant, which has a bright, double-fronted exterior, is situated in the oldest part of Canterbury. St Peter's Street is an extension of the busy High Street, and...More

It so happens I went to the toilet at the same time as the waitress..... And to my horror she just walked out WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS!!! I could not believe my eyes !! Just moments before this she held the Parmesan cheese and grated...More

Pleasant venue. Nice wine - but pricey (£6.75 for 250mls of a pleasant organic red). But the food was simply outrageously expensive - I used clubcard vouchers, but was amazed that anyone would pay full price for this food. I had a chicken breast, slice...More

My daughter graduated in September and we wanted to celebrate as a family so booked a table for 12. The food was great but the service was not, indeed the payment process was just beyond horrific, with a waitress who couldn't split bills and overcharged...More

At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.No trip to the historic city of Canterbury in Kent can be complete without paying a visit to our restaurant. Located just off the busy High Street our Canterbury restaurant has a large garden and 5 private function rooms to accommodate any celebration. We’re lucky enough to be located in one of the oldest buildings in the city centre, spread across two floors of a Tudor town house known as Cogan's House. Dine al fresco with an outdoor dining area for sunny weather. If you’re celebrating big, see if our private dining area is right for you.And tweet what you eat with WiFi available here (if you’re in to that).
