This pub is an absolute gem. We called in on the strength of some photos on google maps showing the characterful (but tasteful) decor and the food which looked better than your average pub grub. The options were fantastic, there were some good hearty dishes...More

The service and food was amazing with a reasonable choice. Good range of beers including an American IPA and several good real ales. Lovely atmosphere in a classic thatched Island country pub. Highly recommend.

I'm not generous with recommendations but Paul Hayward created something special from something simple which raised the bar in pub food. Stopped off when doing a cycle ride, very welcoming and friendly pub, great food and ales. With its thatched roof, this is a traditional looking pub, the garden is nice with plenty of seating. I will definitely be back
