I was skeptical about going here because of the price (£50+ a head) but was not to disappointed. The grounds and inside were beautifully decorated, the bathrooms were stunning, a waterfall ran off the tap. The food was your standard christmas dinner but strangely only...More

My family visited on Saturday before Christmas for Christmas Dinner Menu and haven't been here for a couple of years as moved away. We were blown away as it is a very glamourous venue, service exceptional and reasonably priced 3 courses with mince pies and...More

The Manor house is really beautiful and the room where we had our afternoon tea is very elegant. The food was nice, but whereas a lot of afternoon teas for two have six different cakes, here they serve three pairs. That's quite nice in a...More

What a wonderful dining room in a wonderful hotel. Refreshingly old-fashioned, yet with a warm and friendly welcome. The food is just delicious - the menu choices relatively limited but all enticing. The service was impeccable. This is how a restaurant should be. Very highly...More

This is a beautiful hotel, tucked away off the road. Parking for lots of cars. Had a lovely afternoon tea, even provided with a box to take home goodies we couldn't eat. Highly recommend,

Our beautiful orangery-style Lake Restaurant offers amazing views overlooking our fabulous garden and lake. Two rosette dining at it's best. Offering a range of award winning modern British cuisine to suit all tastes, diners can choose from an A La Carte or Lake menu. The latter provides brasserie-style seasonal food, changed on a fortnightly basis from only £18 for two or £22 for three courses. A wonderful place to celebrate and very popular for Sunday lunch. Great to relax and enjoy a delicious meal with probably the best views and location in Hertfordshire. The Lake Restaurant opens daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Otherwise try a bar snack or one of our famous Afternoon teas in the hotel lounge.
