We had dinner included in our overnight stay and I just wanted to say how delicious the food was and presentation was lovely too! My sister also had the burger and my daughter had the Thai curry which they both enjoyed very much and both gave my their 5 star reviews! We highly recommend this restaurant.

We booked in advance to come here for afternoon tea. Easy booking and paid in advance too. When we got there we were shown to our beautiful table with big comfy chairs by the window it was heavenly. The afternoon tea was absolutely beautiful and we really enjoyed our time here. Our server Robert was attentive polite and made it... More

We were staying in hotel and decided to have a nice evening meal in main restaurant rather than the brasserie. The dinning room itself had a good atmosphere, service was also very very good. Overall meal was fine - Nice starters and excellent main a great steak (£5 sup). The disappointment was the dessert Rhubarb crumble which was all crumble... More

It took over an hour for our starters to arrive and when they did mine the fois gras was greasy and bread wasn't delivered when requested, others said the same and commented that the trout was bland. Mains were super bad lemon sole was barely even recognisable. A 40th birthday dinner to forget!

We took friends to celebrate a special birthday. We were greeted with a friendly smile by the restaurant manager and immediately shown to our table. We were a party of six and shown to a round table, which I always prefer if we are more than four. The restaurant is spotless with fine white linen and an air of comfortable... More

the food and service were really very good and at less than £40 it is excellent value. It's also nice to find a good restaurant that has some decent wines for under £30. Highly recommended.

We were a group of 8 business colleagues, we all stayed in the hotel and booked the restaurant to have a nice dinner. The dinner itself was nice but wasn't great, my mushroom soup was OK but wasn't much better than what you can get in any gastro pub - I wasn't excited. The steak was also nice, but again,... More

The food was very tasty and the complimentary taster was lovely. The service was slow and I found the seating a little congested in the restaurant.

Average food at ridiculous prices...daylight robbery. A bowl of soup, a ham terrine, 1 dry beefburger and 1x 8 oz steak...2 gin and tonics...over £80!!! Get a grip Sopwell.

6 of us visited on a Sunday afternoon 19th Feb for a birthday Afternoon Tea. We sat in the restaurant area which was an attractive bright room. Three of us went for the champagne tea option and three for the normal tea. Our orders for tea were taken and the pots of tea were brought out. As it was loose... More
