Booked The Foragers an hour before we turned up, we wanted a Sunday roast on our way home from Luton Hoo Hotel and Spa. Staff were very welcoming, this is a proper English pub, great selection of beers and the food was spot on. It was rammed (which is a good sign) staff were rushed off their feet but were... More

The atmosphere here is really welcoming with great service. We were very impressed with the beer selection and alcohol choice in general. We had the vegetarian Sunday dinner. If you are a meat eater, you will absolutely love this place! Definitely worth a visit

The bar staff ignored us only to tell us later the chef had didn't want to take another table as he already had one table to serve!

Been here a couple of times now ( this is third time) and I was left wondering why I left it so long. Lovely food, cosy atmosphere and relaxing. Despite a plethora of restaurant choice in St Albans, this place is a one - off, lovely seasonal menu, every detail thought of, but none of the pretentious 'gastro' hype -... More

I booked The foragers for my birthday and our group grew from 6 to 15 people during the week before the booking, the staff couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. We pre-ordered our food and it was all very organised and everything came out perfectly. The roast beef was delicious as was the cauliflower cheese. Super friendly staff and... More

Sat outside with dogs on a warm evening but there are efficient heaters if necessary. The food was amazing especially the verulamium burger made with Douglas fir. I'd love to try their foraging tours.

Lovely environment for a family Sunday lunch. The staff were helpful and attentive without being overly obvious. The food was tasty and plentiful with some unusual alcoholic drinks brewed/made on site. We were not rushed, so spent a relaxed few hours at our table. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely informal pub setting, and very friendly staff. Menu is pretty limited (5 starters and 5 mains) but the food is superb. Despite the somewhat limited choice, The forage influenced menu is innovative and really well put together and works very well in the relaxed ambiance. Good wine list.

Fun for a birthday lunch for 11 people, following a walk with The Foragers, which made the food all the more special as we were thinking of the provenance and flavours. Cant wait to go again
