Have been here many times to meet friends. Great service and not at all bad beers. More than ok for a pub evening with a Barge burger and a pint.

So this is not really a restaurant review, but a write up the 'significant birthday' event the Old Barge organised for me at the end of May. I went for a Saturday afternoon session, and Simon and his crew at the pub were more than accommodating and efficient at assisting me with the planning and organising of the event for... More

This is by the water, although the outside seating is mostly near a quiet road. Service is good, the food is fairly basic pub food. Unfortunately the beer is expensive compared with some other pubs in Hertford.

Great location by the canal, ducks were getting a bit frisky though. Good choice of beers and ciders etc. Even the staff are nice, which is... More

Lovely atmosphere to catch up with friends, great food (although food sizes could be slightly bigger for the price) will defiantly be returning!

This is an excellent local pub in a brilliant riverside location. It also has a good pub food menu with almost everything available in vegetarian versions. Burgers are especially good, sandwiches are massive. Great drink selection and characterful interior.
