We came on a Sunday for a roast dinner. I had the roast chicken and my husband and son had the beef. It was all lovely, we couldn’t fault it. There was a great selection of vegetables and a perfect Yorkshire pudding. The service was...great and the place has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be back again.More

Visited the William Walker on a Saturday evening with a couple of friends for a meal and some drinks. Service from the bar staff, Alex, Joe and a chap with a man bun hosting the place it seemed but I didn’t catch his name, was...excellent and all so friendly. We had cocktails made by both Alex and Joe without any problems despite how busy they were. they all coped with the evening rush and the food was perfect and served in good time. The only downfall to the evening was being told the kitchen was closed so we weren’t able to order desserts despite it being not long after 8pm and other tables were still eating. There was a group of lads that came in later in the evening for drinks and sat in the corner. They became quite rowdy and could be heard swearing from the other side of the pub, which for a place of those standards you wouldn’t expect, however the gent with the man bun (again not sure of his name) dealt with it perfectly and politely asked them to quieting down. All in all a good evening as always and will be coming back in the futureMore

We've booked a table here for pre lunch / dinner drinks a couple of times recently, before moving on to our restaurant. Covid means you get plenty of space and bar service. Staff are attentive and friendly. Maybe its not as atmospheric as pre covid...when you'd be sqashed up against everyone else on a busy saturday afternoon, but personally I think I prefer the extra space and peace and quiet!More

I visited here with my boyfriend and Aunt on a busy Saturday lunchtime. On arrival we were asked to sanitise our hands and to register with track and trace. It is table service only and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was...delicious. This pub is very clean and we saw staff thoroughly cleaning tables and seats in between customers. We will definitely be back!More
