I stayed here last weekend as part of a bridal party. After a chilled dinner & drinks, we stayed here so we could all get ready the next morning together. The hotel rooms themselves are lovely (some are bigger than others!) and the facilities are nice, but our stay was dominated by extremely loud noises all through the night. Many... More

Hi JBW88, Thank you for taking the time to review No.5 Bridge Street. I'm sorry to hear your experience was affected by noise level and weren't able to shut the window due to the room temperature. No.5 Bridge Street is a grade listed building which can make it difficult to change features like the windows without council permission. However we... More

I really love this venue and go there a fair amount - it is one of my locals - but recently they've been turning their music up to a deafening volume. Having sat at the back of the restaurant as far away from the music as possible, I still found myself shouting at my dinner partner, and her shouting at... More

Hi LightsSpotter, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It was great to hear your comments about the food and venue, we're really pleased you enjoy the food. I'm sorry that the music is too loud to be able to hold a conversation as it is supposed to be an acoustic guitar player intended for background noise.... More

We went here with family at the weekend & although we had mistakenly booked the wrong day they were very accommodating. The menu is quite eclectic & not to all tastes but we had the roast beef which was delicious however as always when eating out we found the vegetables were quite hard. Our friend ordered the crab rarebit which... More

We have been calling in at No 5 on a Saturday for a drink and light bite lunch for many months. The staff are great and the food had generally be good. However, today we called in we were told about the specials etc. I chose the black pudding and pigeon sausage roll that I was told was just a... More

Hi Crewegirl, Thank you for your feedback and being a frequent visitor to No.5 I'm sorry to hear that on this occasion you felt ripped off. Although most starters range from £5.50-£7.00 this is one that is outside the average price range, but I can understand your frustration had you not been told the price or had the price displayed... Great ambiance and the menu offered some very interesting dishes so we will be returning to try out more. Dogs are allowed and the staff were friendly and made a fuss of him. Will definitely go back

Serving excellent craft beers on tap, a wonderful restaurant with open kitchen and great trendy decor and ambience - No 5 has a lot of things going for it. But the leading USP it's the cocktail waiter. I don't know his name, he is slim and wears black framed glasses and if you go here - don't even think about... More

Excellent food and drink.. Very slow service, slow taking food order, one of our party was brought out the wrong food and finally we had to ask twice for the bill. I brought my guests here as the last time I came service was attentive and food was great, however today was hard work and although on my last visit... More

I was really torn whether to give this a 4 or 5 as I liked everything about this place. Visited last night after booking online. Instantly got a confirmation email and text so that was great and really easy. The restaurant area was nice, menu had some fantastic options, especially for me as quite a fussy vegetarian, I was spoilt... More

A great location right in the city centre, near lots of nice pubs and restaurants as well as the cathedral and all the main historical sites. The room was lovely - simple but tasteful decor with nice characterful touches. The room was also very big with a lovely bathroom and the best shower I've ever used! The breakfasts were amazing!...
