Despite it's very unprepossessing appearance both inside and outside the food was extremely good and charmingly delivered; however service was unacceptably slow as there were very few people in the pub at the time.

Real treat, family lunch, 8 of us, service really quick and efficient. Friendly and smiley team, nothing was too much trouble. Had starters, mains and desserts. Highlight for me was the Hake dish, excellent Mediterranean flavors and perfectly cooked fish. Puddings, lemon and passion fruit...More

I was taken last week to the bugle by my friend who is also a bit of a foody, she has raved about it regularly. Actually could feel her slight apprehension as she wanted it to be so good for me. Was nothing to worry...More

We paid £12 for a taxi from Winchester train station to get to The Pub. Did not realise at first it was 2 miles outside the centre. A very warm welcome from the start, even though it was very busy and we couldn’t actually get...More

We were visiting Winchester again last weekend, on our last visit we decided if we returned we would give the Bugle a go as a friend had recommended it several times. Was slightly dissapointed to see some negative reviews the day we visited but hoped...More

We are 2 miles away from the Christmas market, we also had b&b rooms and good transport every 15 minutes to city centre.
