Came here on Monday lunch time, very welcoming and friendly staff. Ordered seafood sharing platter and Caesar Salad between me and my sister, and pasta dish for my daughter and two more sides to share. Food was good, tasty and portions was big. Girl who looked after us came and checked if we are ok and need more drinks. Nice... More

It’s been quite a few years since I last went to The Olive Tree and it’s a lot more chilled out than it used to be. But my god, the food was incredible – they have a new chef apparently. Couldn’t find fault with anything – and some may say I look for trouble. It was really good, delicious and... More

I don't know Southampton very well and decided to go inside based on menu on the door. What a pleasant surprise! We shared an excellent Italian inspired vegetarian antipasto followed by mains of wild mushroom ravioli, seafood linguine. (Not keen on the cream with the seafood pasta but it could be my personal taste). Liked the live jazzy music and... More

Had a great lunch here recently. Sat outside. Road is quiet so perfect place. We both ordered the seafood linguine with samphire. £13 each. Very fresh fish, crab, prawns, mussels etc in pasta with samphire, such a tasty combination of tantalising flavours. Service excellent. Would have liked more choice on rose wines though. Will definetly go back.

The food was wonderful, my wife and I ordered two appetizers, and the amount of food was overwhelming. It was very good, and the service was great, but be cautious or ask the size or quantity of the appetizers. We couldn't finish it though it was delicious.

Great food very attentive front of house. Good value for this high standard of food. Live piano music Sunday evening really adds to the ambiance.

Nice restaurant with a French touch (it reminds a French bistro). Wide and and interesting choice both for the starters and the mains and even several vegetarian options. Nice deserts as well. Very good service and kind staff. Slightly more expensive than the average.

Food was great, service was friendly and professional. Only negative was that it took a really long time to get our martinis before dinner. I really don't think they knew how to make them, but after that, all was very enjoyable. I had duck and it was delicious!

Came here fo a family birday party and had a superb evening. I would have liked a wider choice of menu, but there is a specials board each day as well as the set menu, and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful but I object to paying an extra £3 plus to have vegetables as... More

Hi Dion. I'm sorry you weren't happy with your visit to the Olive Tree. We serve children's meals first as this keeps little ones happier so they don't having to wait. We don't have a kids menu, as there isn't much demand for it, but we always create a meal that kids like on request. Our allergen folder is available... More
