Popped in here at lunchtime with a colleague. Simple jacket potato lunch. Absolutely delicious. Stayed locally so came back for dinner. Again the food was outstanding and the welcome warm. Bravo! These places are too few and far between. Swerve off the M27 anytime and...enjoy!!! Simply brilliant.More

We happened to spot a road sign and decided to investigate. Megan, the waitress, welcomed us and took us to a well lit table in a conservatory. We ordered some fresh sea bass and a homemade steak and ale pie reasonably priced. The plates and...meals were hot and tasted delicious. The vegetables were well presented and properly cooked. We both shared an Eaton Mess which which we found to be rather filling. It served us right! Being a pub restaurant there is a wide selection of beers as well as a couple of real ales. To the rear there is a beer garden with a couple of play activities for the younger children. The food choice made a great change to what's normally on offer in the larger pub chains. This is home made food and not prepackaged and warmed up food. If you decide to drop by please say hello to Megan who is very cheerful and ready to assist. Highly recommended.More

Great food. Friendly service. And dog friendly too! As a family of 4 we all had different dishes and all were equally tasty. Highly recommend

Found this pub by chance whilst staying at the Ageas Bowl, food was excellent and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We were so pleased, we went back the following night and really was not disappointed. Next time we are in the area we...will definitely be calling in. Our friends are staying at the Ageas Bowl and following our recommendation have already booked for dinner.More

Popped is as ‘passing trade’ on our way home from ‘town’! Clean pub, courteous, smiling staff & great food! I had beef and mushroom stroganoff and ‘er indoors had Hunter’s Chicken! Both delightfully delicious (masses of chips & stroganoff/rice) which left no room for pudd’n’!...Will happily make it a regular watering hole! Just fabulous!More
