Although its website accepts bookings and even sends an auto confirmation, we wasted a trip on Friday eve only to find it locked up and looking like closed for good. Still showing as open on Tastecard.

We had one of our worst dining experiences to date at The Treasury for our work party. Paying £35 each, we definitely expected a lot more than depressing music, cold and tough food and the service left a lot to be desired. We submitted a complaint to them and only after chasing them a second time did we get a... More

I booked our work Christmas party at the Treasury and it was very disappointing. The food was cold, the people that had pork said it was tough, the vegetarian option was some pasta with a some tomato sauce, not very good for a main course considering they paid £32.95 for 3 courses, and we had two small dishes of vegetables... This will go down as the strangest place I've ever eaten... ever. Visited with 5 female family members while on a shopping weekend. One of the party booked via Groupon. Now afternoon tea in my eyes is about the experience, not just about the sandwiches and tea as to be honest, Costa are fine at both. The atmosphere, the ambiance.... More

This is the third and final time i have been here in the last 6 months as it has got worse and worse. 4 of us went today for a special christmas treat. We all ordered the Turkey. We got 2 very small very thin slices of Turkey, 4 very small new potatoes, not a ROAST in sight. One very... More

Oh Dear! Its a pity that you didn't air your concerns during your visit! when we would have had the opportunity to rectify anything that you were not happy with. As previously stated on this site we take comments very seriously, and do our best to rectify any problems. You mention the small portions that you were served, you were... More

The atmosphere was dead, the food absolutely terrible and the manager could really not care less, insulting a member of our party when they complained. If they would just get the food and atmosphere right it could be lovely, try dimming the lights! If you want an example of how not to run a successful restaurant this would be excellent... More

We have just shared a lovely afternoon tea at The Treasury. It was to celebrate my husband's 65th Birthday. My son, daughter-in law and two grandchildren, myself and my husband thoroughly enjoyed it. Three of us would have liked more sandwiches and less cake, the other three, (my two grandchildren and husband) liked it the way it was. . Abbie,... More

Had our teapot refilled 3 times ( could have had more if we wished) The service was excellent, attentive but not in your face. I shall know were to go next time I feel the need... More

We had dined here in the evening a few times previously and decided to try their Sunday afternoon tea. It was a cold day and the vast high-ceilinged restaurant was not quite warm enough. As always, the staff were very pleasant. My wife was guided to her seat on the arm of one of the owners, who was wearing an... More

Firstly, the building - You cannot miss it. It’s located directly opposite the old church and just over the road from Ranchos. It dominates the street and one of the finest looking buildings in Southampton in my opinion. Lots of history. Inside, its huge! Tons of space between the tables, high ceilings and a historic, rustic decor. As you walk... More
