We decided to go into the Bridge tavern for Sunday lunch but pretty much the whole menu had sold out. We waited 60 minutes for bangers n mash which looked pretty grim on arrival. It actually looked microwaved. Luke warm mash :/ it appeared we...More

Friendly staff. Excellent food. The Fish and Chips were excellent. Crispy batter, and the chips were superb. Cooked just right. My friend particularly liked the traditional Bread & Butter pudding. She ate every last mouthful, which is unusual for her. Not a crumb was left.

One of Old Portsmouth’s few remaining traditional pubs. Ordered and enjoyed a slow roast lamb shank with all the trimmings. Great value and it really ticked all my boxes for a Sunday roast. To be honest why cook for one at home when you can...More

Visited at lunchtime. Although it was quiet the barman was unwelcoming and unhelpful. Basically couldn’t be bothered to get a menu for me. Instead of the boring selection of sandwiches I chose duck pate which was ok but some of the lettuce garnish was distinctly...More

Last time I came here the staff wasn’t so friendly and the service was not really up to scratch so I was a little reluctant to come back. Visited here on a Sunday evening with my partner and a new girl ... believe her name...More
