We live in Winchcombe and have eaten there many times , but due to my reduced appetite I had a starter. It was wood pigeon and chorizo on celeriac mash. Every part of the dish was perfect and the pigeon was so tender. I think...More

We’ve probably been here 3-4 times a year over the last quarter century. The beer is always reliable and the ambience is relaxed. If you can tickle the ivories there is a Joanna in the sudely lounge. I always enjoy the steak and ale pie....More

First visited here a couple of years ago, liked the character of the place and enjoyed a decent lunch and pint in the garden. Returned recently for one night B&B which was very disappointing. Our double room was tiny and in a grubby dilapidated state....More

Excellent quirky pub. Food wonderful - stayed 2 nights and the Landlady cooked the breakfast which was a true traditional English! Ate here both nights - excellent! Room lovely if a bit old fashioned but had everything we wanted.

Popped in for a quick lunch, had a couple of panini's, these were a little on the overdone side but were very nice. Very quick service and the atmosphere was lovely, really took me back in time.

Had the crab & wasabi on flatbread which was out of this world. The roast lamb didn’t last long on my plate nor did my wife’s cashew, spinach and pea curry. Great beer and brilliant service from Liz and her staff. Great atmosphere. Hat off...More

Yes, best to check but I'm sure there was a dog or two in the garden but that was a nice sunny day. I recall seeing dog bowls for water in the garden areas.
