A lovely evening out in Stow made even more wonderful by finding this gem! The menu was varied and intersting - loved the courgette flower stuffed with goat's cheese! The staff were helpful and attentive but not too over zealous!! Would recommend this restaurant highly but do book as it is a popular haunt.

This is a great place to eat. The place is inviting and quirky with a great menu offering lots of choice. The Cornish cod with leeks and mustard sauce, lobster and chips, mussels and the stuffed courgette flower are my top favourites. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere and I would thoroughly recommend.

We loved this meal. Scallops to start followed by Dover sole & calves liver the local cheeses & yogurt/raspberry concoction. Everything was cooked/prepared to perfection. Something for everybody on this very eclectic menu. Booking recommended-we saw a lot of people turned away. Also a favourite of the locals which is always a good sign. Will definitely go back very soon.

Away from the good pub fare, here is a restaurant that is spot on . Focusing on Cornish sea food , the balance of interesting other food is a complement. You will also find a broad selection of international wines appropriately priced. Service is a match to the food and wine .

The food was very nicely prepared and plentiful and there was a good wine list.. The staff were friendly and helpful as was the owner who was there also.

We had not made a reservation and were fortunate to get a table in this obviously popular restaurant. It was a beautiful evening so we sat outside. There is a large menu and wine list making choice difficult! Service was professional, friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. For example, a bottle of water was placed on our table as we... We were so looking forward to eating at the 'Old Butchers' which draws pretty good reviews, but regretted our decision bitterly. This restaurant has much to do to improve! Let's start at the beginning. We (four of us) were shown to the dining room area towards the rear of the restaurant and seated by the friendly waitress. We were provided... More

The smell of burnt fat greeted us metres away as we approached the restaurant and was much, much worse inside. We were shown to a cramped table in a corner where the smell was overwhelming and caused our eyes to sting. It was so bad that the smoke alarm was set off! We were bought bread and oil, but no...
