Having literally been into every pub in Stow on the Wold we finally found The Bell. We wanted to watch the Rugby and have some food and for some reason that was Impossible for everyone else. The sandwiches were incredible and exactly what we were looking for. The staff were friendly and good fun. Everyone seemed to be in a... More

We ate here three times and each time the food was good even if the menu is a little bit limited. The only gripe was the first time we visited visited once we had finished eating we seemed to be rushed out of the pub even though it was 10 pm at night and nobody was waiting for the table!!!

My girlfriend and I had dinner here on a Friday night. I had the rib eye steak which was great, recommended! My girlfriend had the burger which was not as good. Desserts (brownie and apple crumble) were both amazing, a bit pricy maybe. Service was good!

We had an evening meal here yesterday whilst we were staying in nearby Lower Slaughter. The reviews looked pretty good so we thought it would be a decent place to eat. As I am a big fan of Italian food I could not resist ordering the Seafood Linguine which was described as a combination of Crab, Salmon & King Prawns... More

Called in for a drink after booking in at Stuart House and were completely ignored by man behind the bar who was on the phone . He continued his phone call and even moved away turning his back on us. One other lady was in the Bell at the time and she left and as there was no interest in... More

First time at the Bell. Staff very friendly and good atmosphere. Both had the steak which was really tasty and cooked well, perhaps a little overpriced though. I've had equally tasty, locally sourced steaks for the same price in 'smarter' establishments with a bit more on the side. We did enjoy it though and will be back.

Visited today with hubby. We were given such a genuine warm welcome the moment we walked through the door, just lovely. The decor was fab, very country house. Didn't even have to go to the bar to order drinks let alone food, they came to the table. We had burgers - delicious - and a HUGE portion of really really... More
