After a two night wedding anniversary break at the Manor House the last thing we expected was to be looking forward to getting home for a good night's sleep. Be warned - a room on the second floor alongside the High Street is not quiet. The outer windows did not shut properly ( this is a period listed building )... More

At first glance there's a lot to admire about this place. The building as been beautifully renovated and there appears to be attention to detail in the furnishings, table ware etc. There's a great menu with a wide choice, set 2/3 courses was very affordable. Here comes the but....... The service was so slow it was ridiculous. At first we... More

We attended for a celebratory lunch with a party of 12 on a Saturday in the Brasserie. From the party, a number of us ordered the vegetarian 'tartlet', and when it arrived, it was extremely disappointing. Not a pastry tart at all, but very greasy flaky pastry like a pasty with hardly any content inside, and certainly not as described... More

Visited as part of a lovely sunny weekend break. What a hidden gem. Absolutely beautiful building and stunning gardens. Lovely service. We only had drinks on the lawn but we will definitely be back for a stay. Just lovely.

We went as a group of 10 for a reunion dinner. The ambiance of the bar and dining room are excellent and the staff attentive. The tasting menu was disappointing, however. The soup was good but the goats cheese dish was uninteresting and the sorbet far too sweet for a palate cleanser. It was odd to serve the beef course-... More

We stopped by for a drink and a light lunch following a walk nearby. The service was fantastic, the environment was really comfortable and beautifully decorated and the food was delicious. Can't wait to come back sometime.

Visited this Hotel public bar for a drink and possible meal. However the bar person, male and not local asked if we intended eating. We replied that we would decide after we have looked at the menu. We insisted on paying for the drink rather than open a tab in case we decided not to eat.The bar person became rather strange... More

This is a good, characterful, 35 room hotel – in the Cotswold Inns and Hotels group. It's deeper than it looks when seen from the front street and forms a horseshoe of rooms with gardens in the middle extending a long way back towards St David's church. High points include: the food (excellent in the Mulberry restaurant and good in... More

We were only able to stop at this great hotel for a quick pit stop but found the food and service to be excellent.
