We were really looking forward to a 3 course dinner to celebrate my husband's 40th, The menu was promising, offering something for everyone, and we had high expectations given the price point - starters around the £9.50 mark, £19.50 for Sea Bass, £18.50 for roast chicken as mains. On ordering the Sea Bass we were informed that the dish didn't... More

Had a great meal for 2 at the Mercure in Cheltenham - made use of our Taste Card which provides 241 and received a top class meal even though we used the card. Staff are very professional and the surroundings are great. Good food and great value

We had a superb Saturday dinner here. The staff were outstanding and really attentive. Food quality was excellent and the choice huge. Really good value too. Drinks are high quality and represent real value for money too. John, the restaurant manager, made us feel so at home and we will definitely return.

My friend and I booked for festive afternoon tea for my birthday treat. We were advised by email that as per our booking we would be in the lounge by the fire. When we arrived we were told our table was in the lobby, just outside the lift and staff office. There was no fire and people bumped into us... More

I browsed the a la carte menu the other day and it didn't look to bad. I thought I would have Sunday lunch here with my wife and booked on Sunday morning for 1230 pm. We parked in the car park next to the hotel and walked passed the Napier restaurant and it was being redecorated with tins of paint... More
