I have frequented this restaurant only once and found the menu to be unusual. For example liquorice flavoured ice cream. If you're in the mood to be entertained by combinations of texture and taste with many variations on their menu then you will be surprised.

Very nice lunch here on Valentine's Day. Really good service and very friendly. Food was great. Loved the appetiser. I had al a carte menu and my wife preferred the set menu. Scrummy chocolate ganache desert.

We arrived a little early for our dinner reservation and was disappointed that we could not have a pre dinner drink at the small bar -it is small and cosy with comfortable sofa seating for approx. 6-8 people and it was already pretty well occupied. However we were shown directly to our table. Service was good without being over attentive... More

Had a lovely evening here recently with friends. Food and service superb. We did, however, (along with several other diners) have to wait outside in the cold as we had arrived 15 minutes early. We also felt the restaurant itself lacked atmosphere... overly bright and rather dated. The food and service however was A+.

What a wonderful experience; the menu was extensive and creative and service was attentive and friendly but unobtrusive. The ambience was relaxed and provided the perfect setting to savour the amazingly well thought out and exquisitely crafted dishes.

Took my partner for her birthday meal and from start to finish the whole experience was amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly and personable. They made us feel at home. All of the courses were well presented and tasted exceptional. I liked the idea of the entrees and the amuse bouche as well as pre dessert. I haven't stopped talking... More

A highly recommended lunch time excursion. Imaginative and intricate courses with excellent service, wine, and appetisers, and all this for an extremely good price considering it is a michelin star establishment. Very close to being 'excellent', but I have rated 'very good' for two minor reasons; first, the decor is a little dated, so whilst a great restaurant for food... More

We had lunch in the restaurant to celebrate a birthday and were so impressed, having travelled from Hertfordshire to meet my brother and his wife. A quiet and comfortable ambience, delicious food and first class service from the courteous and welcoming staff. The cost was far from exorbitant for food of this quality - really top notch. I wish we... More

My husband and I visited for the first time on 3rd February as we were staying in the area. We were quite windswept when we arrived but were given a really friendly welcome. We had drinks in the bar and choose our menu. I had the scallops with chicken wings - amazing and then the lamb which was perfect. We... More

You'd think that having 2 Michelin stars guarantees an awesome experience - but it doesn't. Tom Kerridge's Hand & Flowers is, in my foodie opinion, not worthy of 1 so it was a pleasure to discover just how good this was. Flawless, in fact. Surprisingly quiet for a Friday night (especially with racing the next day), from the moment you... More
