Well worth a visit to Cheltenham just for a meal here

From the point of arrival we were made to feel very welcome and Helen and the front of house team were very engaging. Appetizers were lovely and really got you in the mood for the meal to come. Pheasant starter with one of David's famously great "earthy sacues" was extremely tasty. The interim bacon and sweetcorn muffin was fantastic! :)... More

This place is a gem! The food was nuanced and inspired; the welcome warm and friendly. There is real thought put into the food, the main ingredient is allowed to blossom and is supported by perfectly chosen accompanying flavours. The highlight of our meal was wonderful veal with smoked apple chutney. We look forward to visiting again!

Our second visit to Le Champignon this time for dinner with friends. The artwork had changed but the rather severe lighting had not. However we were there for the food and service and neither disappointed. The lady of the house welcomed us and was as charming as before. Beautifully presented canapes came as we were making our choices. Starters were... More

The exterior of this restaurant fronts onto a fairly busy street and is relatively plain, unlike the cooking. There is a small reception area and a pleasant dining room. Our lunchtime menu was certainly imaginiative, with various ingredients that were new to me. The standard, presentation and variety are all indicative of the establishment's Michelin status. I have only two... More

I have been with my partner to this restaurant and must say it was absolutely worth it. The food is very interesting and an amazing combination of flavours, amazing! Also comes with freshly made bread which tastes delicious and must say I did not feel hungry in the end as I was afraid might happen. Had the three course meal... More

All of the food was brilliant but I've never had a broccoli panna cotta before but will eat it again however, one dish was completely fabulous but it plays with your mind!!!!!!!! The desser was mango with Thai cream... More

A friend of my partner bought her a gift of a meal, as we like good food. This was certainly good food and brilliant value given the quality. The rabbit parfait that came with my starter was the pretty much the nicest thing I have ever eaten! Service was professional but very relaxed and there was a nice atmosphere in... More

If you are looking for a treat then this is certainly a place to visit. The whole experience was thoroughly enjoyable, from the service provided to the imagination and execution of the dishes - truly excellent. We also loved the decor, including the art work and the amount of space provided between each table. We could find no fault whatsoever... More

I can't add to all the accolades that have already been given. When I say that my only criticism is an absence of candles you know that the place is perfect. Simply divine food presented with artistry. We look forward to our next visit!
