The tea rooms is not just a business or a place to grab a quick brew on a rainy day. It is purely a step back in to a time when customer service meant something and elegance graced the tables of many establishments. A visit to Cheltenham Gloucestershire isn't complete without experiencing the theatre and atmosphere of Well Walk Tea... More

Anyone reading my reviews knows I absolutely hate those bland high street coffee places that are overblown and overpriced. Every time we visit Cheltenham we make sure to pop in here before we get the local bus back. It's a sort of antique style place with plenty of tea sets and tea pots and other bits and pieces to look... More

This family run cafe is just 5 minutes walk from the bus station and since our last visit, they have opened up the first floor to increase the number of tables as there are only a few tables downstairs. The eclectic decor is that of an antique shop so you have plenty to look at. There is a wide choice... More

Really nice tea olde English rooms with quirky decoration where you can buy anything including the plate you are eating off. Staff are friendly and efficient and the food is superb.

This place makes a lovely change to chain cafes. The food and cakes are homemade, tea and coffee is great, and it's much cheaper than high street alternatives.

Had a fantastic time and the food was great. We were a group of 15 so paid the extra for the exclusive use of the upstairs room. It was well worth it - food was lovely, proper triangle quarter sandwiches instead of tiny finger slices. Cakes were great loads of choice and more than enough! My sister needs a gluten... More

This is a very traditional, old English style tea shop, and I went today for a small lunch, and the quiche was delicious, and so was the big meringue to follow. I saw a 'Tea for Two' come to the next table and it looked amazing...I must try that sometime soon!! Lots of antiques and retro stuff in there. It's... More

I have lived in Cheltenham all my life and have only just found this little gem! Polite staff, gorgeous cake and very reasonably priced! We didn't have the afternoon tea but saw some people who did and we were very jealous! Will definitely be returning to have this!

Visited here the other day for the second time. The layout and decor is really cosy and the crockery is pretty. The first time was great when having the 'normal' food but very disappointed at the gluten-free portion size this time around. There were 10 of us in total. I was given a tiny plate with just 4 triangles on... More

Your more than welcome to ask for more! We make a round of sandwiches per person as more tends to get wasted however when booking indicate you would prefer more savoury than sweet and we can adjust the balance for you. The gluten free bread is smaller in size,(although 3x the price!). As you say two slices of home made... More

I love the Well Walk. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Cheltenham for Afternoon Tea. The portions are always excessive and the choice is great. They always manage with my nut intolerance. Always worth a visit even just for a piece of cake but the Afternoon Tea is the piece de resistance.
