This restaurant/pub has now been renamed the Cuckmere Inn. Nothing else has changed. The service is still slow although I do have to say the staff are friendly. I understand, though, that the food is not freshly cooked on the premises. The view from the...More

Not that busy but very disorganised staff, thought the waitress was going to have a heart attack as she was so stressed. Took ages to take our order, food came out in a timely manner. Although the table next to us had someone else's order...More

We went as a family of four (and we had booked) however it took over an hour to get our starters and a further 45 minutes for main courses. Even then they were cold and inedible! Don't bother!

.For a drink & a bowl of chips sitting outside, its fine. The only reason they get any trade is because tourists go to the Seven Sisters & fancy a drink or some food after their walk.Such a waste of the location....it could be fantastic. jennie

Can be quite good when not too busy but always struggle when very busy. Just average overall because they struggle so much when they are busy.

It is now called the Cuckmere Inn, over the years its catering reputation has dwindled to an all time low before being taken over by a chain which has revitalised the menu and spruced up the service.

This magnificently and strategically sited pub has it's Ups and Downs. Currently it is satisfactory and hopefully will improve now that it is affiliated to The Vintage Inns group and changed its name to the Cuckmere Inn.
