Popped in on a Saturday morning for breakfast which was first rate. It's a very old building with different rooms on different levels. Lots of wood etc. Cosy and atmospheric. A great place to relax with the papers. No wi-fi and I couldn't get an O2 signal but sometimes this is a blessing! Poached eggs on toast with bacon and... More

TThis great cafe is both quirky with it's very used eclectic mix of old furniture and funky with one of the, I think, three rooms with a ceiling plastered with comics. They have great coffe, tea of course and a menu from sandwiched and cakes to soup and small hot dishes. Really fun busy place to spend time... I think... More

We visited when there was a big car thing on, so they were mega busy. The staff were friendly, service was slow but I'm guessing that's because it was busier than normal. The savoury crepes were lovely and huge. The hot chocolate was nice and the brownie was yummy. The prices were reasonable and cheaper than chain coffee shop and... More

We came here twice for afternoon tea. The atmosphere here is very quirky, it was cosy for a November afternoon. Friendly service and delicious cakes.

First thing we noticed was cakes left uncovered on display on counter. Put us off, people coughing etc. yuk! Decided just to have coffee, no cake. Looking at staff preparing drinks, one picked up dirty cloth and wiped around top of cup as some had dripped over edge. The place may be 'authentic' old style Rye but there is no... More

A nice place to have a coffee & cake (or other). The usual hot drinks are available plus nice milkshakes. The seating is quirky but it can be cramped.

An old worlde ex apothacary's shop now a coffee shop. Inside was like going back a couple of centuries. Nice old settees and coffee tables. We had tea, coffee and panini. All very nice. Cakes looked lovely but we were good and resisted lol. Staff very nice and food prompt. Would return.

We popped in here for lunch recently and thoroughly enjoyed the food my soup of leek and potato was delicious accompanied by a egg mayo sandwhich which was really filling. My wife went for a salad of warm butternut squash etc which she really enjoyed. Quirky inside done in a shabby/old style although comfortable. Nice friendly service a nice experience.

It is definitely a distintive property both inside and out. The staff are prompt, efficient and friendly. We had the best Welsh Rarebit that we have ever had in a commercial place. excellent.Free Wi-Fi as well.
