Hands down the best place to eat in Rye and in the surrounding area. The Tuscan gets everything right; the food is amazing, the service is warm and friendly and the intention is clearly focused on quality and substance. We ate on a busy Saturday evening and every dish was perfect. I had the veal as a main and it... More

Celebrated our joint birthdays and were not disappointed. The food unbeatable, the service both friendly and efficient. Excellent advice on wine from Jen. Everything was relaxing and special, despite it being Rye's bonfire night and the town heaving.

I cannot over-emphasise just how good this restaurant is. We were around 16 in total and visited on a Thursday night. The owners run this place brilliantly. Service was great and the food and wine kept coming. You will never leave this place hungry. Dishes upon dishes of antiapasti, pasta, fish, beef and other delights were brought out. We simply... You may not be tempted into this restaurant from the outside but do try and eat there as food is superb! It really is good Italian cooking, pasta was lovely as were all our meals. Desserts yummy too! The staff were very pleasant and made an effort to engage our young grandson and suggested food he might like. It was... More

Sunday evening meal with my family didn't disappoint. Beautifully presented, tasty food. Delicious. After a long drive down from Solihull, it was the perfect introduction to our 3 day visit to Rye. It was "Wild Boar" week, but we couldn't ignore the porcini ravioli, the steak with truffle and cream sauce or the amazing rack of lamb. A lovely, cosy... More

Stayed just round the corner at the Standard and walked up towards the church and came a food this inviting place. Very simple very special food. Charming couple - he is the Florentine and the chef and he really knows how to cook. We had a truffly tortellini and a rack of lamb with mint and a bottle of house... More

We have eaten here a few times (book early as it's hard to get a table!) and the food has always been excellent. The staff are lovely too and it's has a great atmosphere, just what you would expect from a neighbourhood Italian.

... not that we've tried all of the others but who needs to when perfection awaits! Another lovely, intimate evening spent with splendid food, wine, service and good friends. The Tuscan was full last Friday (as always) and how Franco manages to produce such wonderful fare, for so many, is a mystery. We were a party of five and all... More

Just visited the tuscan again, with a 'wild boar week' set menu. Well all I can say is the food is fit for a king, totally amazing menu put together and cooked by the amazing chef Franco. Front of house, the ever welcoming and delightful Jen and her wonderful staff. If you want fast food, you are probably best advised... More
