We went there for lunch hoping for wonderful seafood as the boards advertised outside but the food was terrible. The mussels were cold, gritty and the sauce tasteless and the plaice was very average and had eggs on it... the service was adequate. Will not go again.

Well this restaurant opened up on new years day just for myself and five friends as we had booked the table months ago the steaks we had ( that was three of us) were cooked to perfection and the steak we all said was the best we had tasted ever. In fact all the food was outstanding and good value... More

We visited the restaurant early evening for dinner. The food was tasty but could be improved especially for the price of it. Homemade chips would make a massive difference to the meal as would a more thought out side salad. The dessert looked like it had come from a packet not homemade. The music was a bit loud for an... I went yesterday to this place to have lunch with my wife and a couple of friends. We had a very good welcome when we arrive. The place looks very clean and nice. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The food was OK, good price but a little bit taste less. They don't use salt at all in any... More

There were 4 of us. It was early about 7pm so quiet for the time of year. We ordered mussels, Sallops, Salmon. The Service was ok but lacked something. We had quiet a wait which surprised us as we were the only people in there. The mussels arrived some were cold and the sauce lacked seasoning. There was no chips... More

Enjoyed a tasty fish lunch after walking around rye looking in all the antique shops. Great service and modern decor. This village is very quaint and great for a day out or weekend visit.

Friends birthday evening meal on a Saturday night. Booked early, and the restaurant got busy. A good mix of seafood and steak, as it says on the tin. With a highly recommended Rioja to complement a very reasonable meal. Descent price of £35 per head for 3 courses and plenty of drinks.

Had dinner in Carey's on Tuesday evening, and overall had a pretty decent time. The missus and I both went for fish - I think that my wife's seabass was a better bet than my sole (well cooked, but needed a little more 'lift' by way of seasoning or sauce), both of which came with a medley of veg (same... Great place to stop and eat after strolling around at the many antique shops. The fish was yummy and service efficient and polite. Decor was very fresh, airy and modern, lots of space, good to not be cramped in and close to other tables like some places.
