We called in Latish on a Sunday afternoon, party of 7 no problem( unlike the ship who obviously didn't want the trade) good food nice service and very good value. Scallops cooked to perfection. Will return.

Carey's looks great from the outside but the menu is old fashioned and the food was very disappointing. The scallops were over cooked and my lemon sole was deep fried. I also had to wear my coat all night as it was so cold.

We came here five years ago at new year and had a lovely meal and, in my opinion the best banoffee pie I had ever tasted. I couldn't wait to go back but everything was disappointing. The interior was tired, the staff ineffective, atmosphere lacking and the food was lack lustre. With so many lovely restaurants in Rye and nearby... More

Food is lovely, but no better than you can get elsewhere. The service is soooooooo slow and well, we had to ask for drinks and cutlery. Sigh. Shame, as Rye itself was just lovely!

Never been here before and only booked after our original plans fell through. So glad we went, it was wonderful. The young lad serving was very helpful and attentive, despite being on his own after a colleague called in sick. I had the special, lamb with mustard mash. If i had the room i would have eaten it again, it... More

After all this time we had never even seen this place. But a quick google search for somewhere to eat before we go see a band and this place came up. Phoned and booked table for 4. No problem. Arrived by a real polite young man who said sit where you like. Took our drinks order then we ordered our... More

Terrible experience, I am so shocked at how bad this place is that i have not got much words. Staff miserable they don't want to be there, Service is appalling. The food is worse, DO NOT VISIT. Go to the Simply Italian Next door. Much nicer.

We went for lunch with our 2 children who had the kids nuggets which were made from reformed chicken and not tasty at all. The place was cold and uninviting and we had sardines and mussels which were very unimpressive. How anyone can get moules marinières wrong is beyond me. Such a shame as we've looking forward to trying it... More

We went there for lunch hoping for wonderful seafood as the boards advertised outside but the food was terrible. The mussels were cold, gritty and the sauce tasteless and the plaice was very average and had eggs on it... the service was adequate. Will not go again.

Well this restaurant opened up on new years day just for myself and five friends as we had booked the table months ago the steaks we had ( that was three of us) were cooked to perfection and the steak we all said was the best we had tasted ever. In fact all the food was outstanding and good value... More
