Fabulous restaurant situated in the historic Rye town center. Service and food were excellent, waitresses were friendly and welcoming. Good value and great atmosphere. Will definitely come back.

My partner and I had a meal at the hoof. Lovely place, great attention to details. Tasty appetisers, we had fried halloumi and fried baby squid which was delicious and cooked perfectly. Unfortunately the burgers were not seasoned so very bland and not really worth...the price. Staff hard working, polite and professional.More

We stayed overnight in Rye and needed somewhere to eat. We came across this place on the internet with good reviews. We didn’t book but this wasn’t a problem, we sat upstairs the weather was on the turn but it was lovely and warm inside....We throughly enjoyed our meal and thought it was great value for money. Would definitely recommend!More

i did not know what to expect after reading some of the reviews but my friend and I were taken by surprise. really quick service, super friendly staff, food was locally sourced and really tasty. I really liked the way that they had twisted the...names of the food to suit where is came from! we were in and out of there within an hour, some may say that it was a bit rushed but we didn't feel like we were unwanted or anything they were just efficient! average pricing but seems that it was locally sourced it was worth itMore

The hood was recommended to us by a friend. The food was very nice. Best steak we have ever had and the onion rings were lovely too. I must say the service wasn’t the best, we had a seat upstairs and felt like we were...stuck up there and kind of left to it. Also the seats were so uncomfortable it was hard to enjoy the experienceMore

We were looking forward to coming to hoof, and the venue and staff were great. Unfortunately the lamb burger that we both ordered was disappointing, quite small and nothing special at all. The chips were also under cooked. A bit of a shame,

Really nice small restaurant with very pleasant staff and good food. We had daily special soup - vegetable , and also the falafel flatbread along with smokey burger . Large portions (almost to large!) and well presented . Would certainly return
