A little family lunch with the folks. Service very polite and he portions were a decent size - lasagne looked great, ham salad looked very decent and I had the Mexican Chilli... Lovely! Didn't get a rating of 5 essentially due to prices of side order - £3 for a side of garlic bread just seems a bit much but... More

Went there with my brother-in-law and sister for my birthday. The pub is lovely and welcoming and so old. I had the onion quiche and it's the best I've ever had. Great staff and atmosphere. Couldn't recommend more highly. Definitely going back.

You can always expect a friendly welcome, an extensive menu with loads of chef specials, a good range of drinks plus always looking at new things. The back bar has several TV screens for sport, plus is cooler leading too an outside area. The pub is dog friendly

Called in for a drink as had prior dining arrangements in place. A very traditional pub with a good choice of ales. Staff efficient and friendly - a good experience.

As I wandered down Lewes High Street looking for somewhere to have lunch, I settled upon this pub as it promised a beer garden. In fact I didn't sit in the garden but in the front bar with some locals. They have a nice selection of beers and a typical pub food menu. I ordered a Stilton ploughmans which was... More

Never been to beautiful Lewes before and, being Sunday, thought we'd have a traditional Sunday pub lunch after visiting the castle and Anne of Cleves' house. We liked the look of the Brewers Arms and a quick check on TA gave us an idea of what to expect. What we got was 2 lovely meals - tender and tasty roast... More

I was looking forward to trying the burgers having read the reviews. However, having ordered two burgers, they arrived without chips. I was then told that chips were off. Our evening meal was ruined. If I had been told when ordering that chips were unavailable, I would have gone elsewhere. Having experienced this poor service, I will definitely now be... More

This pub is a typical old style pub but don't be put off by the decor! It has a small, quiet seating area at the front of the building and s much bigger seating area at the back which also has a pool table and big flatscreen TV. The food was good, I had quiche and my partner had a... More

Actually, the Brewer's Arms is a bit above average. There is a nice atmosphere, and the food is good. I have been there for Sunday lunch on several ocassions, and it has always been worthwhile. The only thing that cannot do is make good roast potatoes - always under done, and never crispy!! Having said that. I shall be going... More
