Lovely meal at the Two Bulls as always. We had 2 starters, 2 8oz Sirloin steaks, 2 desserts and a bottle of wine all for £60! Everything was perfect and the service excellent. I highly recommended this restaurant as the best place to eat in Hastings old town.

Good matured steaks. Has a nice atmosphere and decor. Great location on the seafront so you can walk off those calories.

After having some great lunches here, last nights celebration meal was quite the opposite! The welcome and service from the staff was poor and it lacked atmosphere, these are exceptional at lunch time. 3 of the 4 steaks were good with the 4th being inedible (which was taken off the bill), the sides of mushrooms initially arrived cold (and were... Had lunch one weekday during the summer holidays. Bad timing - full of noisy children. However, the food was very good (you need to like steak) and the staff were friendly.

This restaurant is great for tables of large numbers! I went to the Two bulls for my birthday. The staff put a table together upstairs in the restaurant with plenty of room for me and 14 others. The food was delicious and the waiters were friendly.. Make sure you book a table as it was very busy on a Thursday... More

We went for Sunday lunch and it was very disappointed. The 6 oz steak was the tail end of the fillet, therefore less than half was medium rare but the thinner end was well done. It was also cold. Irregular shaped potato wedges (not chips) meant they were also unevenly cooked. The garlic butter was a little butter with big... More

We'd heard great things about this place and maybe expected too much.... I ordered a 45 day aged Ribeye cooked medium, it arrived well done. I also thought it was tougher than it should have been. The desserts are just too big and very sickly. All in all only average for us.

Description
A large and airy dining room in this beautiful former landmark pub with an open kitchen and very informal service is a great place to relax and enjoy a good steak. You can see the dry aging beef on display and you can see the genuine charcoal grill at work on your steak. This is definitely not fine dining but what you do get is rustic, simple, homemade food with strong natural flavours.
