We stopped and decided to get some fish and chips at lunch time. We were enticed by the long queue and thought this was a good sign. We sat and started eating in the chairs outside the shop. Within five seconds we had been told by a waitress that we couldn't eat the meal we had bought there outside unless... More

The food was lovely but..The staff didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing! Once our food came out we had to go in and remind them where were our drinks? I asked for a small sausage for my daughter when I was given a jumbo as they didn't have any small ready but was told I would... More

Really nice staff and excellent Plaice and Chips with Mushy Peas for the wife and Double Fishcake and chips with bread and butter for me. Both with large mugs of tea. Good price, fresh produce, simple decor but what you want on a mini real to the town.

We have had take away fish and chips from here a number of times and the chips are always lovely and not too greasy, the fish is nice and white and the batter is always crispy. I always really enjoy my fish and chips from here, you normally have to queue but it is worth the wait......

We started queuing out the Blue Dolphin 15 minutes before it opened. They were a few minutes late in opening. We walked in and placed our order and waited while they cooked our choices freshly for us. We asked for them to be wrapped, so we could eat on the beach. The fish had a lovely flavour and the chips... More

Good value fish and chips. Always a queue which is a good sign. Hastings has so many fish and chips resturants and this one does not disappoint for a take away.

We popped in to share a few bags of chips and one piece of fish on the beach. Service was swift and polite. The portions of chips were quite stingy but everything was hot and seemed pretty fresh.

Good fish & chips but not as a restaurant..cheap & cheerful. Confusing on entering & not welcoming. Food was good, service very poor

Broken seats and us being the only customers at 1.30 on a Sunday lunchtime should have told me all I needed to know. Chips were probably the worst I have had on a trip to the coast. Akin to fried bits of wood. Waitress was very nice but that doesn't make up for a disappointing experience.

These were the best fish and chips! The chips were crisp without being over cooked and the fish had a great flavour and was cooked in a fabulous batter. Apparently the great taste is due the fact everything is cooked in ground nut oil. So may not be the place to eat if you have a nut allergy.
