A pub which is an independent brewer offering a good selection of real ales. A friendly welcome and comfortable surroundings - what more do you need

Quirky little pub on the edge of the town centre. Wasn't too busy for Sunday lunch, but the food was good and reasonably priced. I'd say the roast chicken was a tiny bit dry, but all the accompanying vegetables were excellent and they have some...More

Came here for Sunday lunch and with my partner and her mum. The menu was confined to three roasts - chicken, lamb and beef, each for £12.50. We went for one of each and they were terrific, with vegetable side dishes and generous portions. Great...More

Visiting first in last out today was a real treat. Excellent food freshly cooked to perfection. Really friendly staff and good value so what’s not to like. I had the roast lamb which was tender and good quality - 5 star recommendation from me.

Hi there. Of course, he'll be fine. We're very dog friendly here and they're welcome in the bar and restaurant, providing they are on a lead of course. Looking forward to seeing you both!
