Although very nice food lack of vegetarian options and had advised beforehand the bubble n squeak I had was the size of a starter. Waited ages ordered a coffee never came. Shame seems to have lost sparkle. Not French red wine!!

A lovely restaurant serving fresh sea food and unlike some Michelin star restaurants, decent size portions. Difficult to fault. Staff are exceptional.

By coincidence the previous reviewer was from Valencia,Spain.I also live in the Valencia region and was visiting friends who live nearby in St Leonards and Rodmel. The waitress was welcoming and had reserved us a table for the 3 of us in the window. The restaurant is only small but stylish and modern. We decided to go for the set... More

I hadn't been recently as although the food was always good, the waitress this year was a bit dour, but there has been a change. Today's waitress greets you with a smile, nothing is too much trouble for her, and the food is unchanged in quality. So, what do we have again - a truly top notch restaurant, with a... More

A small restaurant with excellent service and fresh local ingredients particularly fish. Two sittings on a Saturday night meant that service was prompt but nor rushed

We were a group of 7 on a Tuesday night, arriving at 6.30pm to an empty restaurant. We had pre booked. Two 10 year olds in our group like simple food, and an adult and child (one of the 10 year olds) are vegetarians with no fish. We had checked online - great vegetarian no fish options, and a children's... More

Small restaurant in quiet street looking as if it could be a bit if a find. Sadly it wasn't. The menu looked carefully researched and not confusingly large. This, in my opinion, is often a good sign indicative of freshly chosen carefully cooked food. The fish chowder was indeed fresh, tasty and well assembled and presented. Everything else was lacking... We love this place. The menu is always good, plenty of choice. Changes regularly and the food is delicious. The surroundings are cosy, but simple. Always nice background music. The atmosphere is always buzzing but not over bearing. We had a New Year's Eve there and had a great night.

We were spending 1 night in Hastings (down from London) and had found this place on here. The staff were fantastic, attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. We had 3 courses and I can honestly say that we were blown away by each one. We eat out quite a bit in London and this was some of the nicest food we've had... More

I cannot sing praise high enough about this dijou restaurant! We recently got married and one of our gifts was a voucher for St. Clements. We visited once before in January or February to celebrate my husbands birthday. We had both heard so many wonderful things we simply had to go! Our second visit was sublime, I had booked the...
