A very enjoyable evening was spent at St. Clements. A nice wine list, but I would like to have seen a Chablis or two on it...nevertheless, the alternative was excellent. Lobster Spaghetti was AWESOME! The puddings also really good....will definitely return. Friendly, sometimes hilariously funny service...(that was my fault) very good laughs all round.

We had a pleasant meal here on Saturday night. The food was okay, but overpriced. My starter of smoked salmon with horseradish cream was fine but I would expect something better for £10.50. My main of Sicilian fish stew was tasty but as a previous review mentioned, the broth did not taste particularly fishy. Dessert was lovely-- sticky date and... More

I had been very excited to have an opportunity to eat at St Clement's because of it's good reviews. Sadly both my partner and I were disappointed with the most important things when dining - taste and cooking skills. It is a cute little establishment with friendly staff and some nice wines and beers on the menu. However, it is... More

Had a lovely lunch here with family. Ingredients were well thought out and expertly cooked. Taste bud sensation and beautifully fresh. Service was good and with a smile which is always important! Initially thought it a little expensive but for what you get I think on reflection that it was good value and worth a visit again. Somewhere I think... More

On our arrival we had an extra guess but with no trouble they added an extra chair to our table. We had a mixture of starter, mains, and dessert ( as 7 people dining) all of a fantastic standard . The chowder was my personal favourite. If I had one thing of a negative would be I wished they had... More

We visited this little and cosey restaurant on the last day of our holiday. Despite of the temporary staff shortage we were served very well. We had muscles and asparagus with poached egg as a starter, sirloin steak and seabass as headmenu and sticky toffee pudding with coffee as a dessert. Everything very fresh and tasty. Recommended.

Had a £40 gift voucher, a lovely Christmas present, food was very good, for 2 adults we ate starters and mains plus a bottle of wine, cost just on £100 ( plus a Tip of £10 ) Staff knew about the food and made good suggestions, thoroughly enjoyed our evening, will go again, the price means it will be an... Service indifferent (see below). Atmosphere - rather clinical and disturbingly empty for a lunchtime. Started with 'mixed provencal olives' which tasted like something out of a jar from a budget supermarket. Utterly bland. OK, I can live with that, but I've had a lot better. Anchovies very fishy with very little influence from the marinade. House white - big mistake.... More

what a fabulous little find this one was. I was celebrating my 60th and wanted to go somewhere a bit different and this certainly hit the spot. Tucked away in an old part of the town it provides a cosy retreat without being cramped. The ambience surrounds you from the moment you walk in and the staff greet you like... More

My partner & I had the set Valentines meal, which is more pricey than the usual menu. All courses were delicious, well seasoned & presented well. Excellent service, clean, very wide bar choice & local products used in some meals. Superb dining experience.
