I visited this restaurant for the first time recently and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. I had the asparagus with poached egg to start. The asparagus was perfectly cooked as was the poached egg. For mains I had the Sicilian fish...More

We chose to have dinner at St. Clement's mainly because it was the only English restaurant within walking distance of our hotel. Although our meal was adequate, we felt it was over-priced and under-presented. The best dish we had was a Pork and Chicken Liver...More

We were the sole diners for most of the evening and greatly enjoyed the asparagus soup, the chowder, the sea bass and the pork belly. Other reviewers have written about the noise levels they have experienced which clearly didn't affect us until a group of...More

Lovely relaxed atmosphere with high end food and service never feels pretentious but when eating you know your somewhere special. Gorgeous flavours and reasonable portion sizes. Plenty of locally sourced ingredients on menu. One of our local treat places

Myself and my Boyfriend travelled down to Hastings for the weekend and I had researched previously restaurants to go in the area and the menu of St Clement's definitely appealed. It is a small little restaurant hidden away and what an amazing little gem it...More

From the rave reviews this received, I had high expectations. Unfortunately the food didn’t meet these expectations. Maybe the food is ok for locals. I ordered from the set course menu which seem good value but I thought that my pork - 2 small slices...More

Another stupendous lunch, yesterday, when my partner & I took his Mum to eat at St Clements. We all had different mains, & they even accommodated her smaller eating habit by doing a starter as a main. Full of flavour. Wonderfully priced for what we...More

We have eaten here many times since they originally opened this bistro in St Leonards. The food is reliably of good quality, especially the sea food and the ambience also really enjoyable. The wine list is simple but well matched. My only slight negative is...More

I booked a table of one, weeks ago. They called to confirm the day prior, which was an appreciated service. Two menus were presented, a la carte and specials. It is nice that there they are being seasonal, but a lot to go through as...More

Husband and I went with three friends, midweek just before Easter and even then it got quite busy. This is a popular spot with locals (and DFLs) any night of the week. We were seated quickly and service was friendly, professional and smooth. There's a...More

A gourmet haven in St Leonards on Sea, St Clement's serves artisanal delicacies sourced from the bountiful stocks of local suppliers. As well as achieving a prized Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2012, St Clement's enjoys mentions in The Good Food and Hardens guides, and praise comes from the king of fish and seafood cooking, Rick Stein. Seasonally changing dishes are served alongside a carefully selected stock of wines.
