A traditional, established fish and chip shop. Eat in or take away. Fish cooked to order with delicious batter and chips made from real potatoes served on hot plates in a clean restaurant. Menu offers a platter so that you can try the different types of fish. Kids menu and smaller portions for OAP's. Staff friendly and genuine with a... More

We found Bardsley's by chance as we were looking for somewhere close to the Pride Parade route. The meal was excellent. The fish fresh and well cooked. Portions very generous - my wife and daughter both took the children's portion and their fish portions were equal to a regular size in most restaurants. There is a good choice of drinks... More

Totally worth the 1 mile walk. Reminiscent of childhood chippies with laminate walls and basic furniture but that seemed to add to the enjoyment. Food was perfectly cooked, piping hot and generous portions.

Saturday night after a trip to the Duke of York we'd booked a table at the ever popular institution. My wife had battered haddock and chips and pilot grigio rose - all good. I loved my grilled sea bass. The chips look uninspiring but taste perfect with the fish.

This place used to be the best in Brighton but it seems to have lost its way. Food is satisfactory but found the chips a tad soggy. Fish was fresh and staff pleasant. There are so many more outlets of a higher standard and this place has been here of many years. Old fashioned interior of typical seaside fish and... More

The food was really lovely and not a bad price either! There was lots of choice on the menu and the waitresses were genuinely lovely people. I would definitely go back!

Rather than going to other fish and chips joints where they served pre-prepared pieces of fish, Bardsley's fries up a fresh fillet of the fish of your choice. After a long hike at Devil's Dyke, this place surely hit the spot!

Great meal and service, two adults and a fussy 10 year old boy visted this friendly chippy on our day trip, welcomed with a smile and friendly banter. I had scallops to start, medium haddock and chips with a little curry sauce on the side, plus bread & butter, oh and a wally😊, absolutely superb!! My wife had scampi and... More
