We visited this restaurant with a friend who had eaten there twice before and liked it very much. Eating on a Monday evening in September is never going to be a good plan. The restaurant was very quiet, in fact we three were the only...More

Ovee priced in every aspect tries too hard and fails. A coverted house and bijou uncomfortable. Not good for disabled as toilers are upstairs. Not impressed.

We've been to this restaurant a few times when in Brighton. There are some good pubs nearby which is the main reason we were in this area, so it was an easy choice to eat in The House again. Downstairs was full so we had...More

When we saw the Sunday roast was advertised at £14, we thought we were in for a real treat! The waiter seemed courteous but brought our wrong roasts at the beginning. After getting our proper roasts we were disappointed. I got beef which was cooked...More

Had the roast beef Sunday lunch. Was expecting it to be the normal quick turn-around re-heated food that a lot of places serve nowerdays. Pleasantly surprised as it was absolutely delicious, the flavours mouthwatering. Sat outside watching the world go by and thoroughly enjoyed the...More

Hello, The restaurant makes no claims to that and if they did I imagine they would advertise it. I suggest you contact Restaurants Brighton for more information. Have a nice day

Description
Nestled amongst Brightons famous Lanes, filled with bohemian cafes and boutiques, is The House Restaurant a favourite hang-out for Brighton's foodies. Located only minutes away from the seaside and the Royal Pavilion, The House Restaurant is a cosy establishment spread over two floors in a converted Victorian house decorated with a modern vanilla and chocolate brown colour scheme. The food here is modern British, and specialties include beef Wellington and steak - customers come back again and again for the sirloin and fillet steaks, all tender, cooked to order and served with your choice of chunky chips or new potatoes. The extensive menu has something for everyone including, this being Brighton, a great range of vegetarian choices. Weather permitting (or even if it doesnt theres heating!), theres a lovely outdoor terrace set in a cobbled sheltered square in the south Lanes.
