Went in for the start of the quiz.....first drinks a Bacardi and diet coke, no problem. Second drink gin and tonic, filled to the brim with tonic from an already open plastic bottle. No quiz, no more drinks, never again.....the Geese thirty yards away were rammed, they were'nt.....wonder why?

A little off the beaten track but well worth a visit. We were there yesterday and the owners were really attentive and friendly. Leffe on draft and fabulous tapas which is really good value. Drinks aren't cheap but I don't think you visit Brighton for cheap drinks. If that's you're thing go to Wetherspoons. We will be back here regularly.... More

Just spent a couple of hours in a typical friendly good old fashioned pub (which is a rarity these days) I have just eaten the tastiest dinner I've had for a long long time, fairly priced, cooked to order, can't wait to be hungry again, a very satisfied customer, and a good choice of alcohol to boot, and they have... Had been here for Sunday lunch and had a good meal but unfortunately the experience wasn't repeated on a return visit. Felafel tasteless and fell apart, potato's brava spineless and the humous lacking olive oil and tahini. Friendly staff but needs to decide if it's a pub or a food pub.

Although a short walk up a hill, this pub is warm and welcoming. With great drinks and friendly staff, I'll definitely be visiting frequently!

Having read previous reviews I was was excited to return to an old haunt and experience a traditional pub with good food. Unfortunately, it failed to deliver - literally. To be fair the staff were very apologetic about the 2 hour wait for food, explaining they had to 'start from scratch'. But honestly, I could have reared the chicken in... More

Great little pub! I have had food here a few times and loved it and the choice provided. Also great for a drink and to watch the live music in the evening. Overall a place that should certainly should be checked out when in Brighton :)

One of the cosiest, liveliest little pubs in Brighton. With 30 years of music and performance history, the new owners Ben & Chris are pleased to continue the tradition! And with a new kitchen now at full throttle, the return to great food is here too - whats not to love!
