From the the plethora of vegetarian restaurants Terre a Terre stands out favourably. The oriental and Mediterranean touches to the cooking make the dishes very flavourful and enjoyable. We enjoyed very much the professional and super-friendly service (not always a given in Brighton I'm afraid..).

We went for a midweek lunch. My partner is vegetarian but I am not. We had a lovely little corner patio table. The staff we all very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was absolutely gorgeous. Very tasty and fresh. I could taste the individual flavors of the ingredients. I was very impressed and will definitely return.

Was excited to visit for a birthday meal, and the menu certainly impresses - especially the wonderful vegan options. However the service was slow and a bit hit-and-miss, we were placed in an odd corner of the room, and then there was the food.... For me there were too many intense flavours squeezed together on one plate, which didn't work.... More

We went here for lunch because one of the party is vegetarian - what a revelation! Who knew that veggie food could taste so good - I absolutely loved my dish as did the others. We wanted to know if they had other restaurants in other towns/cities - alas 'no'! They also sell some produce and we went back at... More

I treated my sister to a birthday brunch. I had the Rosti Brunch and she the Steam Dreamer. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals although when I tasted my sister's I wish I'd had that instead - oh well, we'll just have to go again! We also took some goodies away with us. The smoked tomatoes are delicious as is the... More

Ok, so three male omnivores and a female vegetarian meet. Prepared to have a sneaky kebab on the way home I was surprised by the quality, flavour and variety of what was offered. However, a kitchen foul up meant we waited 70 mins for our main course. I found the manager, Mark, and expected some soft soap and the course... More

I'm not a vegetarian, but boy if you ate here you wouldn't be disappointed! Buzzing atmosphere with an extensive menu (and cocktail menu) superb thinking goes into each dish and is executed to perfection. Delightful. Fantastic. Excellent. Couldn't hyperbolise it enough!

We had the KFC and smoked tomato & rocket salad as a starter along with wasabi cashew nuts, all very tasty and would certainly order again. Our mains we had the chip shop batter halloumi and found it to be a bit on the heavy side. Service was a bit of a mixed bag on this occasion with starting off... More

This is an amazing restaurant just for the sheer number of amazing vegetarian dishes. So rare for vegetarians to have this kind of experience. :) Now on to our meal. We both ordered the China set menu--and it was complex, interesting and generally delicious. We also ordered the soup of the day--which was a wonderful beet soup! It could not... More

Description
Brighton's critically acclaimed Terre a Terre is a vegetarian restaurant that will have even the most ardent carnivore waxing lyrical. Situated close to the sea-front. The decor is chic and stylish, using wooden floors and furniture to contrast with vibrant colours. But here the food is the centrepiece: dhal basmati buns with coconut curry leaf chatni, better Batter and Lemony Yemeni Relish and Thai aubergine jungle curry are just a few of the exotic and imaginative dishes you can find here. To complement the food, a large selection of organic beers, ciders and wines are available. A three course meal here costs an average of £30 per person. A refreshing take on vegetarian cuisine.
