This place is exceptional, high grade, authentic, freshly made Italian food. World class food warm service. My favourite restaurant in Brighton.

It was midweek and we wanted to eat quite early (around 6.15), so we were first in the restaurant. Lovely table in the window, and served by a great waitress called Carla. The owner also made the effort to welcome us - a nice touch. I had linguine pescatore and the boss had the lasagne - obviously home well made.... More

Have been waiting to try this place but previously overbooked. Starters were fine but £10+ for 4 "king prawns" was too excessive by far! My steak main was lovely but my wife's salmon was very dry & overcooked. When we complained at end of meal the waitress was completely disinterested in our concern. Boss came & deducted the service charge... More

Hello Chris.... Thank you for your review. I am Angelo the proprietor of Casalingo restaurant, the person who deducted the £10 from your bill on the evening in question as a goodwill gesture. Concerning your review: How can you say that the waitress did not show concern? How did I get to know? Because she reported your comment back to... More

Our family of five walk into the restaurant... Not only was the service excellent. Not only was the food fantastic. Not only did everyone treat my children will fun and respect. But when we walked in with no booking on a Saturday night, they could have easily said no, and we would have moved on. Instead, they graciously told us... More

Wow what a great little Italian restaurant. Food was amazing, the staff were quick and very friendly but not pushy or trying the hard sell. The photos on tripadvisor do not do it justice. We ate at 19.00 and it was quite busy, make sure you book. Excellent.

The three of us popped in on the off chance, even though it looked full. The manager said we could come back in twenty minutes, which we duly did. And it was definitely worth the wait. All the waiting staff were very polite and pleasant. The menu had plenty of choice and was reasonably priced. There was a lovely atmosphere... More

Was on business5 miles away so we thought rude not to have a night away. We had a drink then wondered up and down the food places. This little Italian place appeared pretty busy. Good selection on menu.the waitresses were first class very knowledgeable.they were also very patient with the young couple on the table next table who were querying... More

Food excellent, service very good, value for money. Would be a 5 blob the only down side is that it was very noisy and at times this made conversation difficult - if they had some sound deadening I could not fault this place. We recommended to friend who visited a week later and agreed with our review. Worth a visit

We hadn't booked and arrived early at 6.30pm. We were given a nice table, and good gin and T and plenty of time to consider the menu. Stat really good, and polite, and helpful with the menu. For starters I had figs, with goats cheese, wrapped in Parma ham- delicious! Mr W had mixed mushrooms, I was happier with my... More

Lovely atmosphere, great service and delicious food. The food was freshly cooked. We booked in advance though we would have got a table.
