Very good meal and superb service. Quite tightly packed downstairs but still enjoyable. All the team were very sociable and friendly.

We wanted a decent light lunch and had used Cafe Rouge before. The Croque Momsieur was shabby and limp, a sad old salad and chips like tepid spears. Hopeless.

No complaints about the service, just a shame a few main dishes were unavailable, Moules in particular but also Salmon, Boeuf Bourguignon, Rib-eye steak and a couple more. And it was the Moules I was looking forward too as well....If I didn't have some very hungry children with me I would have looked elsewhere.

To celebrate an early mother's day we chose Cafe Rouge. Our party consisted of my parents, brother and wife, my husband, our two kids (5&9) and me. The choice of food offered something for everyone but the remarkable 5star element was the service...our waiter, James was the most organised, skilled waiter we have been waited in outside of a Michelin... Having eaten at Cafe Rouge Brighton Marina several times, we decided to try the one in town - big mistake! The Staff were friendly and service excellent so can't complain about that but the food was dry and overcooked. We've always had fantastic food and this is one of our favourite menus for eating out, but on this occasion I... More

Stopped off for lunch here whilst visiting Brighton. Good position (near shops and seafront). Friendly service from James, great food and nice ambiance.

We met up with some friends for a early evening meal, and booked online so that we got a free glass of Prosecco when we ordered the new spring menu - always worth having!. The starter came quickly, but the mains seemed to take ages to arrive. However, all was good, and we couldn't fit in any desserts. Staff were... More

You can go wrong with Cafe Rouge occasionally but never at their restaurant in the Lanes. We all chose different items and it was all delicious and great value. There is a good atmosphere and great views for people watching. But it's the staff that made it. Our waitress Shannon looked after us from arrival to departure. Attentive, friendly and... More
