Al Duomo is perhaps my favourite restaurant in Brighton. I've eaten here for years and Carlo (Carlito to those who have known him since he was a toddler) looks after each guest with the same personal passion that his father does is at the helm frequently. Eat here, order anything, you'll love it.

We have dined at Al Duomo for the past 20 years. Have to say now it's not a patch on the original. Maybe that's just progress? Anyway we took friends for lunch. One cheery waitress and one a bit sour. Pasta and pizzas were pretty good. Nice wine choice and we appreciated the offer to try the wine before ordering.... More

Nothing special about the food here other than it is good tasting normal run of the mill Italian- some of the staff are very friendly and helpful which made the evening a good one. But if I'm honest good food - not cheap but not too expensive but nothing special

Fancied Italian, but not a chain. Found this place next to Pavillion. Fantastic food, staff and atmosphere. Will visit again next time in Brighton.

If you look for an authentic italian do not go there! They warm up the food and it had not much to do with italy ( i am italian). We had mixed antipasto and the arancini were full of old oli and warmed up. My husband took chicken parmigiana and it was chicken with a bit of ham and cream-... More

Fabulous atmosphere, professional yet friendly & engaging service, delicious food! I ordered that same ingredients as an existing pasta dish but asked to swap the pasta for risotto rice - and it just happened without any fuss! My partner had the calzone - a dish that he's had equally good and bad experiences with, but he was delighted that it... More

My husband and I are both fans of Italy and Italian cuisine so while on a mini holiday in Brighton we were thrilled to bits to discover Al Duomo, a real Italian restaurant staffed by real Italians! As I am restricted to a gluten free diet I have to be very careful about eating out, but I am happy to... More

Two of us ate here on 12.04.17. This is a real Italian restaurant and so we (or should I say, my wife) spoke a lot of Italian whilst there, this added to our holiday feeling. The food was excellent with fab starters (olives and a mixed platter) and mains - Pizza for me and Saltimbocca for my wife. The service... More

The weather was nice so we sat outside to watch the world go by.Good location at the entrance to the Brighton pavillion. The fritto misto was a very good portion for the 2 sharing and was well cooked.there was a good selection of fish and sea food in a crispy light batter. The wine was also pleasant, chilled and reasonable

Description
Near the famous pavillion in Brighton, Al Duomo is well, not quite as famous as the Pavillion itself, but it has attracted two million visitors over the past twenty-one years. A classic, family-run Neapolitan pizzeria spread over three floors, Al Duomo has an Italian menu to tempt even non-pizza lovers, if there are any. The pizzas are cooked in a wood fired oven, one of Britain's first. The many other favourite dishes include Lasagne Casalinga and salmone al dragoncello, cooked in butter, white wine and tarragon with tomato and cream. It's a great place for parties and groups, but absolutely everyone enjoys the delicious food, charming ambience and warm Italian welcome. Patio seating when the weather is balmy.
