Everyone knows this pub. Very near the station. Has some great gigs in a small space and attracts the expected bohemian crowd. Bit touristy (Brighton style). But good fun.

Only visited for drinks, but felt very safe. Temperature checked on arrival, details given and the staff wear masks for table service only Not sure on opening times as they seemed to vary so best to check But came round when called last orders to...see if wanted another drink Good friendly pub with a Great Wall display outsideMore
Local bar, close to the station and geared up for a younger clientele. Decent pint and friendly staff, worth a visit
We have been here go meet a friend and enjoy a few drinks on many occasions. It has a lively atmosphere and the staff are really good. A beer costs £5.
Staying in Brighton for the weekend we visited the Prince Albert to see a couple of local bands play, the atmosphere was great and even though the pub was very busy but the staff were super efficient and friendly. Great artwork mural on the side...of the pub too!More
Great place for meeting on a match day ahead of any Brighton and Hove Albion games. Easy walk to the station, lots of staff.
We visited this pub a few weeks ago and asked one of the members of staff for the menu to order food. She told us that they didn't offer food at that time but suggested that we can take food from the fast-food place across...the road and eat it in the pub. We were a bit surprised but she said that they do that all the time. A week later, we visited the pub again and bought food from across the road, just like the previous time. This time a different member of staff came to our table and demanded that we take our food and eat it outside because it is company policy and they don't allow for food from outside to be consumed in the pub. We explained that a week before we had been told the exact opposite thing and that we wouldn't have brought food from a different place in the pub if we hadn't been assured the previous time that this is absolutely fine. However, she insisted in a very rude and insulting tone that we should leave the pub and eat our food outside. Very disappointed with this behaviour. The pub should have a clear policy that all members of staff follow to avoid bringing its customers in such a difficult position.More
I went to the Prince Albert for the first time about a month ago with a group of friends. First impressions were really good. On that night I asked one of the girls at the bar the menu and she responded that they didn't have...food at that time and urged me to go across the road and get take away and have it at the pub. I was surprised and asked her if she is sure that that's not a problem and she replied that they send people to get food from across the road all the time. She even joked that it's much better than their kitchen! I found her attitude supercool and both me and my friends got souvlaki wraps from across the road and had them at the pub. A week later we head again to the Prince Albert and get again the same wraps from across the road. This time another girl from the bar comes to our table and in a rather insulting tenor says that we should get out and our getting food from elsewhere and having it at the pub is unacceptable and impolite to their chef! When I explained that it was one of their bar tenders that urged us to get food from across the road in the first place, she just said 'maybe they are new staff' and without apologising to us for the confusion they themselves had caused she insisted in a rather embarrassing and disrespectful way that we take the food immediately out. Well, clearly there's an issue at the Prince Albert with conflicting management and total absence of company policy. But not just that.. In first posting this review they responded that we were reviewing the wrong pub and they don't have take away anywhere near. There is a Lebanese and a Greek take away right across their entrance and their reply not only shows the same unapologetic attitude I described above but seems like unethical practice too...More
Came here for a few drinks with friends, and although tiny, managed to accommodate us all! Can't fault the drinks or the prices - but when asked about any student deals the guy behind the bar treated us to a 'just kidding!' rant about how...he hates students and how we have everything handed to us. Charming.More
I went here a few days ago to see an acoustic performance by indie rockers echobelly. Probably about 100 people max capacity but I was right at the front and had a great view!!! I would come back again.
