Thanks for your review. We have, of course, been in email discussion concerning your issues - but you have now chosen to go public with this. There was clearly a misunderstanding concerning a comment you made to one of our most popular staff, which resulted...More

This bright and light pub has a mixed crowd (+ their dogs) and provides high quality food at decent prices. And the portions are HUGE. Highly recommended

Thank you for your review which, with all reviews, has been taken very seriously. We do think it is important to correct a few points. You did not wait 'an hour and a half' for your Sunday lunch. We have checked our CCTV and your...More

Just went here here with our 10 month old baby. It’s a saturday lunchtime and the place was empty... but we were turned away! So no kids.

I didn't book and found a table no problem, might have been lucky though! I would give them a call.

Our pub has a simple approach - to be the sort of pub we would love to go to ourselves. When we go to a pub we like a warm welcome, friendly staff, good food and fine ales / wine - so this is what we offer at The Camelford. This creates the right atmosphere from which natural friendliness takes over, and before you know it, you are chatting away with those at the next table. Also a good pub should have dogs - and we are the most dog-friendly pub n town. Don't take our word for it - ask the pooches. Our (award-winning) food is served noon-9pm Mon to Sat, and from noon till 6pm on Sundays (where our roasts are legendary). Booking is advisable, but not necessary.
