Whoops!!!! An year ago I posted that Yellowave had closed - my mistake as I thought with all the development taking place around it, it had closed. My latest visit confirms that it is still open but the inclement weather made outside dining an impossibility - but our snack was good. I hope the new arrivals of other attractions will... More

We went here in the summer during the day for my wife's birthday. There was only four of us and three of us had not played volleyball before, but we made it work :) Generally speaking it was a lot of fun. The venue was easy to book, pay & display street parking nearby and not too far from the... More

I came to Yellowave for a Deep Dish Beach Volleyball Camp and needed a Paleo lunch. The Cafe was able to make me a beautiful salad with ham on top and it kept me going for the rest of the afternoon session. :)

Fantastic and unique venue where you can enjoy a fantastic lunch or drink and watch some beach volleyball whilst you are at it. Everyone is super friendly and it feels like you are on holiday. Whilst you are at it get on the sand and give it a try as it fantastic fun and social sport. So glad I got... More

Lovely venue with lots going on. There is beach volley ball with actual real sand. There is a cafe with really good food and cake! There is a sand pit. It's great for all ages. Out door seating is available as well

This is a great venue to take your toddler drink lovely coffee & eat fabulous cake! The kids sandpit is great fun for little ones and you have the added bonus that you can watch people attempt to volleyball! I have done a yoga class here and the studio overlooking the sea is a real treat in itself. Personally I... More

Yellowave is a beach volleyball club with a cafe attached. It's towards the far end of Madiera Drive and it's open to the general public. The cafe has a few tables inside if it's raining, but it's best feature is a lovely decked terrace overlooking the volley-ball courts and the sea and beside it an enormous sand pit. It's very... Unlike a previous reviewer who was confusing the old mini golf cafe with Yellowave. I can safely say this is still operating. On a sunny March evening, this is a lovely sheltered spot, watching the beach volleyballers (lots of lycra!). I was here with my 2 kids - just had coffee, juices and ice creams. Really, a delightful spot.

Travelled down to Brighton as part of our annual participation in the Epsom to Brighton Veteran Motorcycle Pioneer Run. Was looking forward to a relaxing afternoon at the Yellowave Café only to find that this, plus other adjacent facilities, have been demolished!! Presumably this is to make way for updated facilities. Apparently the seashore railway re-opens at Easter.
