We visited a few weeks ago when the pub reopened and it was a very enjoyable experience from start to finish. As soon as we arrived any anxieties regarding the current situation were put aside as we were welcomed in a delightfully friendly manner and...it was clear how prepared they were for reopening to the public.
We stayed all evening and sank a few, I didn’t eat but some in my group did and the food looked very appealing.
I must again point out how friendly and professional the staff were and for me this means I will always favour a revisit whenever in this part of town.More

From the moment we stepped in, we were aware that this place takes the pandemic precautions seriously. (And we applaud the effort.) We were greeted with big smiles and welcomed to the roof terrace and simply lost ourselves into the spell of Brighton. The food...was served exactly to our wishes and the members of staff were very attentive and truly nice. (Make sure you hold on to them!)
Plenty of character, clean and the perfect place to relax and have a good time!More

At first I was hesitant to go back to a pub after current events, however the grand central pub has made this a seamless and reassuring experience. The management have clearly adhered to new rules and made our visit super comfortable. The food was superb...and the service was excellent. Thank you for taking such good care of us!More

Thank you for your lovely review, we are glad to hear that your visit was enjoyable and safe! We look forward to having you in the pub again soon.
We hire the upstairs room for my Daughters wedding reception, what a fantastic place, from start to finish the staff were polite curtious and bent over backwards to make sure this special day went without a hitch.Thankyou all xx
Closest pub to Brighton train station, but does allow for people who want to stay longer. We went in for a drink before our train home early Saturday evening, bouncers on the door by 7pm and all drinks served in plastic cups because Brighton FC...were playing at home. Prices reflect convenience of location.
If you are here for your drink for the road, it does the job.More
Late lunch before football - our sharer dishes accidentally sent to a function upstairs but staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful and replacements arrived very quickly with complimentary round of drinks. Everything delicious and will definitely be visiting again
We had a bit of a wait for our train home at around 11.30 pm on a Tuesday Night and were a little surprised that this was the only pub still open at that time. Other people had the same idea as us which seemed...to catch the guy behind the bar by surprise as he was suddenly quite busy.
However, he coped, we got our drinks and caught our train after a short wait.More
