The staff is friendly and the food good and plentiful. The pub is near the station, so it is very easy to reach. Maybe the staff should try to consider that for foreign people, like me, english language is wonderful, but not quite easy to practise.

Met a business colleague here for lunch. Had a pint and Welsh Rarebit from the menu, nothing special about the Welsh Rarebit, just melted cheese on two pieces of small toast served with a little bowl of brown goo that put me off eating. Will go elsewhere next time.

Dropped in for a mid week early meal. The place has been quite well re-furb'ed recently and has a nice roof garden are upstairs. The menu is short but has interesting meat and vegetarian options - and is priced as pub food but shows good skill in menu choices and cooking from the kitchen.

After a lovely day in Brighton and with time to spare before the tracks take us home, a cheeky farewell drink called. As we wondered the rd to the station, we looked for a venue to host us. Many we passed not appealing to us. As we approached the station, Grand Central called to us. Upon entering, the bar was... More

Traditional style English pub with a great selection of beer, lager and cider. Has to be the best fish and chips I've ever had from a pub. As it's a seaside resort I suppose fresh fish, even in a pub, is expected. Great decor and friendly staff make this place, with a nice elevated terrace for smoking or eating and... More

Met my Father-in-Law and his other son-in-law here on Saturday thanks to TripAdvisor! We picked this place as it is very convenient for the Station and we wanted a quick lunch before heading onto the football ground. We were first in the door at 12.00 and were met with a really warm reception from the manager and the chap behind... More

Stopped her for lunch on the way home via the train station. It wasn't very busy but we got a very friendly welcome. Ordered some Ale and we were offered a taste of the beer we wanted. Good range of drinks, but food very average and over priced. Service nothing special considering only 5 other customers in the place. Many better places in the area

A lively and opulent pub, the Grand Central is one of Brighton's best-loved establishments. This pub is close to Brighton station and offers a superb British pub menu. There's even a theatre upstairs with regular events. The drinks range is as wide as it is exciting.
