We went to see the self help society and Hayley Ross. It was in a room above the cafe. There were two beers on draft which was great an ipa and budvar. The ticket for the music were only £3 ! It was really intimate as the room wasn't huge. Both acts were brilliant. I will be keeping an eye... More

Serves fantastic coffee in a very unique setting…! I had a piccolo which is like a strong short flat white, with a slice of fresh pizza. Coffee was excellent food was good, surrounded by interesting people lots of people speaking in French all this within a fab setting and mad decor made for a ace experience. I recommend! :)

Everyone raves about this place but as charming as it is the selection is no good for people with food intolerances and they don't do skimmed milk, which kinda sucks to be honest.

....could a place like Marwood exist. Decor is a mad as a box of frogs, bits of Star Wars toys hang from the ceiling, there is a decapitated Zippy, and god only knows what else adorns the walls. However, the coffee is top notch, the people who work there polite and friendly and the vegan cake (vegan cake, who knew!)... More

Amazing! Cool stuff everywhere! Starwars , action man etc etc the list goes on! Didn't try the tempting food because had a table booked for later but my "builders tea" was great! Was it, in all honesty, a bit hipsterish? Well..... Yes! But even though I was wearing a full suit and I don't own any Birkenstocks I was still... More

Whilst in Brighton we stopped of at the Marwood for a coffee and mint tea. The place itself is really interesting with all sorts of artefacts everywhere, making it both interesting and quirky. We sat outside in the street which was just great for watching the people going about their business. At the back of the Marwood is a garden... More

Nice friendly place with quirky decor but good food and coffee! Friendly staff too. Music is just right...upbeat and funky. Enough seating with upstairs and room out the back too.

Been here a few times. Cake is lovely, drinks are good, the place itself is very funky but I sometimes find the staff a bit miserable & impatient. They also take quick long on your drinks sometimes. Overall, I do like this cafe and the decor is funny!
