Great coffee and cake with friendly service.

If you want a great cup of coffee and a healthy, tasty snack when you are in Brighton then look no further than Marwood coffee. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and it was clear that they were not in a hurry to get rid of you.

Popped in here for a coffee, really great coffee, good selection of cakes and croissants, good service and loved the tables, old school desks. Such a mix of people as well, old and young. Well worth a visit.

I'm not in the habit of writing lengthy negative reviews for a local cafe, this is mainly because of the impression left on my friends and how bad I felt that I'd taken them here. We went here for a hot coffee and some snacks after a nice January cold rainy refreshing walk on the pier. We've lived in Brighton... More

If I had any friends/family visiting brighton for the first time, i'd take them to this place purely for the interior. I've been there many times and this place is always buzzing and has a great vibe. Coffee is pretty good, although there are better cafes out there purely in terms of coffee, but Marwood stands out for the atmosphere... More

Location great. For the young only. Bohemian ambience with shared wood tables. Uncomfortable seating so not for lingering. Only coffee and muffins really. Coffee too strong for my palette so I would have tea. Always crowded. Not suitable for a tete a tete or business. No room to swing a kid! Friendly staff. Noisy coffee machine!

The place looks very cool inside. The service given by the rude English girl ruined the experience. She completely ignored us and looked extremely lethargic and half asleep. When are finally got round to making our tea, she messed it up and didn't even bother to offer sugar. The customers going there are very cool and alternative and one can... More

We came here for coffee and hot chocolate. One of the waitresses was very rude to us. Would not come again.

Marwood is very typically Brighton. It's interesting and colourful and full of fun people. Great place for coffee and cake. In the summer the back garden is full of colour and a great place to sit and catch up with friends. In the winter the big wooden table downstairs is perfect for a large group of people.

The place is very cool, there is an angel Maradona picture - priceless, but the coffee isn't great. It is important to note that, the staff can be in a bad mood even now and then.

The decor here is very interesting, absorbing and fun. Their coffee is really good as are their sandwiches. Ive also been here for live performances upstairs, well worth a visit
