One of my favourite places to eat in Brighton. The food, particularly the pasta, is consistently great, and there is a wide selection. The food is cheap and it's BYOB so it's great for a spontaneous meal. I always take guests from out of town here and it always goes down a storm.

Taken here by friends and now wonder why I've never been here before in the 11 years I've been living in Brighton and Hove. Hearty portions of lovely fresh Italian food at ridiculously cheap prices, friendly staff and BYO booze. What's not to like? Will be back with more friends who are Caffe Aldo virgins in the very near future

We first discovered Caffe Aldo whilst househunting in the North Laine. Since then it has become a regular. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the food is always fresh and tasty! Thanks for brightening the North Laine for us !

We popped in here today for breakfast, a treat to start my wife's birthday. A really nice little family run cafe. By daughter and I had the 'Full English', and it was good plateful, and nicely served. My wife had a really nice dish of poached egges on toast with mushrooms and asparagus. The eggs on all three dishes, poached,... More

A group of 6 of us went here recently and 5 of us enjoyed our dinner. They were accommodating for vegans and the rest of the food was nice but nothing special. Unfortunately one of my friends had a very disappointing runny pasta which they had to send back. The staff were apologetic and immediately replaced it. It is great... More

I love this place, great food, large portions, reasonably priced and friendly staff. I often have a take-away lunch which usually keeps me going right into the evening, but I also had a birthday meal here this year with 18 friends which was managed very well with all the main courses coming out together, which is now mean feat for... We ordered some food from Aldo last night. Usually it is lovely food and there is a great service but this time was very different. Not only did our order take 2 hours and 20 mins, we got told twice it was definitely on its way with a 20 min journey to our house and a 50 min gap between... More

I rarely have Italian food as I can never find anywhere that actually serves fresh pasta. I chose a spaghetti bolagaise as a main as It always brings back fond memories of days gone by. However, I never expected to be sat in the toilet for half the night as the meal rapidly exited me. I have never had spaghetti... More

We come here a lot, maybe a bit too much. The bring your own policy is perfect and the food is super cheap so it is a great date night or meet up with friends venue. The location close to the station is handy, it is only a small café and one that you could easily wonder past without realising... More
