Picked this bar at random sat 27th august. Busy but was still able to grab a table. Service was fast and the bar staff were amazing. The dj blew us away with a soundtrack of old skool rock n roll. Lots of people dancing but we were happy enough in our seats as we had been on our feet all... More

The atmosphere is good, lots of different crowds which is nice when you out to socialise however the Music is not always great. Do enjoy the live bands thought :) . Cocktails are not great either. The food is good thought. But all round it's a standard Brighton pub/bar.

Had lunch and a few beers at this pub over the weekend. Great place, very quirky interior, and had an excellent lunch - veggie platter and amazing chicken wings!! Very friendly staff and recommended some cracking locally brewed beers. Would absolutely return.

I've been here a few times and have always had a good night. I booked it for my work leaving do after a recommendation. I booked a few tables ahead of time and ended up being given the whole top floor, which was a bonus! I went on a week night ad they had a swing band on, which was... More

We popped in on a Monday evening on recommendation. We had some excellent cocktails whilst listening to a really good jazz band. I was surprised how busy it was. They played at full volume and it was a little hard on the ear drums after a while! A very enjoyable time

This place has reviews that are all over the place and I suspect experiences vary based on the time you go and what you're looking for, but my husband and I came around 6pm for cocktails and some snacks and were very pleased. I had a perfectly made Sazerac and we loved the (very indulgent and terrible for you) tater... More

i liked the doorman, had that look you know will be a good one to beat his @ss if you get really drunk and look for a fight! the place was really really croweded, the serving was quite amateur but people had no worries and party all night downstairs with that mid-war and swing tunes. upstairs there was a gogol... Walking through Brighton on Saturday we were looking for somewhere to eat when we came across this pub and remembered eating here years ago. We decided to try it again and I'm very glad we did. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was really good! The atmosphere in the pub was nice and relaxed which was... More

So lucky to just happen upon this bar, it is stunning inside with an ecclectic style and perfect traditional pub architecture. Seems to be attracting the young, bright things of th local scene, so we were probably the oldest in there at that time. None the less, a really great bar that we will visit again on our next visit... More
