Met with a group of friends here for an evening. On arrival everything was calm and food was served. Post 9pm, the DJ arrived - his only skill it seems is to play everything at maximum volume (even the younger ones present in the pub seemed uncomfortable at the volume), Hence, a table of 10 of us left for quieter... We had a table booked for 8:30pm on Saturday evening, not realising that this place is very much a drinks led operation. First up, we arrived on time but the staff were trying to sort a table out for us. The one they had originally set aside for us was right next to a huge group of very loud drinkers.... More

Interesting place- but were charged £20+ for a pint of beer and a double gin and tonic!! Absolute rip off for the standard of seating etc. My overall rating would be poor but not given a chance to change the rating before it came up with very good!!! Somewhere to have a look inside but don't have a drink unless... More

This review is based on one member of staff. We just had a drink and asked Sophie for some recommendations of things to do in Brighton. While buzzing around and obviously still doing her job well she managed to write us a list of recommendations and explain that in such a friendly and helpful way. Nice bar and restaurant and... This has been a great pub and live music place for long time. I still love to go there at evening for a great live music (soul, R&B). Food is good too. Recommended!

Lovely place, very nice seating areas and decoration they have lower and upper seating areas plus external. They place looked very attractive to my eyes from outside with their long Windows decorated with gold and reflecting the black and wooden brown interior. Very vibrant and everyone seems enjoying their time just like us. They have food but seems like everyone is... More

Was taken here by a friend that lives in Brighton, a large group of us went. Can only describe it as having post war vibe, jive & jazz, lots of dancing and fantastic atmosphere. Drinks are little on the expensive side. Visited in the day and it looks very different, serves food nice & cosy with candles on tables looks... More

The reviews we read actually made us laugh out loud... Maybe its something the locals do to keep it local. My experience was awesome!! I think this is such a cool spot for drinks and lunch. The staff was really nice, suggested great cocktails and food. They were also pretty patient when I ordered things specifically the way I wanted.... More

Just loved this place. Sat upstairs and it's got great decor, a really nice atmosphere and serves an interesting mix of beers. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a good pub in Brighton.

Quirky pub, with good vibes, jazz on Monday. Can't complain. Great atmosphere, friendly & relaxed. Would recommend a visit. Really nice decor.
