This is a lovely little place. We were a tad concerned though when we were directed to a table, in what amounts to a hallway! We did think that would just be forgotten, but I have to say the service was good and they only forgot us at the end with the petit fours we had ordered. The issue about... More

Very nice atmosphere, if a little rushed. Clearly a busy and popular place. Good ambience, tables quite close together though. Food was lovely, although the aubergine "ball" that accompanied the cod was tasteless. presentation of food was excellent, colourful and beautiful to look at Cheese selection was small as were the portions, but good local cheeses All in all a... A refreshing quietness in a noisy Brighton. a good regard for texture, flavour and presentation of food, pleasant staff and a "pleased that you are here" atmosphere prevailing. the seafood dish needs a little more umph! to gain that coveted star. It was a graduation treat and the personalised dessert was a nice thought and appreciated, thank you, rtrd lecturer in... More

Myself and my husband are foodies. We were not disappointed with this in any way. Food was exquisite. Staff were friendly and recommend a great pub for after. Wine was tasty. Great place to find for our 1 year anniversary!

I disagree with most of the other reviews of this restaurant. The food is fussy, mannered, and pretentious but despite the over the top elaborate presentation, the chef seems to lack the most basic cooking skills. Flavours clash (where there are flavours - often there aren't), vegetables are al dente to the point of rawness. What is the point of... More

This place has all the hallmarks of fine dining... sophisticated and classical decor, immaculately presented dishes, elegant patrons, fashionable use of unusual ingredients and excellent service. Although we were tempted by the sumptuous descriptions on the menu and suitably 'wowed' when they arrived at the table, we did feel that the flavour and textures of the food wasn't to the... More

It was Saturday lunch and fairly quiet. The restaurant has a classic, European ambiance. The food was superb and just as good as it looks on the website. The lamb with lamb prosciutto was fantastic, the dauphinois potatoes (always a good test) were probably the best I have ever tasted; and the home-made bread was so good, I asked to... More

I visited 24 St Georges for a bit of a fancy dinner treat with my fiance, and with him being a vegetarian we thought we would try the vegetarian tasting menu. Having had tasting menus elsewhere we were a little bit worried about being hungry afterwards, but there was absolutely no need- portions were a great size (in fact, a... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel. My husband and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and fancied somewhere a bit special to eat. The food and service were fantastic. The staff were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. The restaurant was busy for a Wednesday night and I can see why. A lovely experience and... More
