Can't comment on the food as we never managed to eat there - but what utterly appalling service. It was so bad, I eventually had to ask the young man behind the counter if I was invisible (which I most decidedly am not.) We missed...More

A lovely place to eat with friendly staff! The food is really tasty and there is a lot of choice. The chili bean enchilada is always my first choice and I love the different sides that are made everyday! If you are vegetarian or a...More

There is nothing I love to do more on a sunny day than get a take away from Iydea and sit in the Pavillion Gardens eating my lunch. Delicious food with lots of healthy accompaniments. Slightly pricey for a lunch but totally worth it for...More

We thought this place was great. very small and busy, but cosy. There was a good selection of food, all of it vegetarian, but I'm not a vegetarian and loved it. The service was great and the prices reasonable (compared to London anyway). I would...More

This is a café/restaurant that provides hearty and wholesome vegetarian meals - just like how veggie restaurants used to be in the 70's and 80's. This is the best place for a filling veggie meal if you want to avoid the scrum in North Lanes...More

No wonder this place has so many good reviews, it is simply a very good vegetarian cafe. Superb choice of really tasty, reasonably proved food. It is, as others have pointed out, a bit 'snug' inside because it is so popular. But we've eaten some...More

we loved our lunch today. All vegetarian food. Lovely cake and coffee, juice etc. the staff were exceptionally nice but because it's so good and popular, it's just a bit too small. It's a bit like a garden shed though, it's never big enough. Would...More

Sorry - same answer, you need to ask the restaurant directly. Again I have never seen any 'reserved' tables when I was there.

Hi, iydea is small and can get rather busy / quite noisy from midday. You are welcome to to try, may I recommend you get a seat at the back as they are quieter. Seb

Iydea is a small and very busy express vegetarian canteen right in the heart of Brighton's North Laine area. All the food is freshly made and is on display so you can choose only what you want to go on your plate or to take away. There is an extensive breakfast menu from 9:30 every morning which changes to the lunch menu at 11:30 (12:00 Sundays). Iydea does get very busy and cramped so best to avoid peak times if you want a little more space and comfort.
