I visited for breakfast after finding this little gem on here and I was not disappointed! The menu is extensive and amazing! I opted for the vegan brunch muffin and it was delicious, the perfect size and great flavours! I was offered a freshly made ginger and lemon tea by the lovely waitress. Friendly and welcoming staff and the food... More

Lovely place, great breakfast options like the breakfast muffin (filled with all that belongs to a vegetarian fry-up), the peanutbutter-banana-toast, or a vegetarian fry-up. Good coffee, lovely juices and smoothies, healthy, organic, vegetarian. Highly recommended! Haven't tried their lunch yet, but it sounds just as good as the rest.

Have been to both their restaurants and found selection very tasty and good value. It surprised me just how good it was.

I go out often to eat out, however as a vegetarian I am always disappointed. This cafe had the most amazing food and I am not surprised they have won a award. Well done

As a recent vegan, this was the first vegan cafe I've tried. On a weekend away to Brighton with my other half for our first anniversary and after a long day wandering around this beautiful town what we needed was a delicious and filling late lunch, and that's exactly what we got! Nothing better than cruelty free food in a... More

Was in Brighton to view grand daughters work at the Graduate show. The planned restaurant was full- BUT I'm so happy she knew where Iydea was. Without a shadow of a doubt this was the very best vegetarian food I had ever seen, and I thought the cost was good. There were three of us, two had the enchilada and... More

There are quite a few veggie vegan restaurants round the North Laine area but came here as felt it offered a proper veggie breakfast that wasn't trying to be its meat equivalent. Every part of it was delicious; the smokey beans, avocado and mushroom stir fry and poached eggs were particularly great. Have to say the veggie sausage was a... More

My partner and I happened to be passing Iydea and had a quick look at the menu. That was good enough but when we looked T what food was on offer and the multitude of option, that sealed it. The food was so lovely and the staff helpful that we went back two more times, breakfast and lunch. The full... More

Fabulous vegan breakfast, froendly staff and a nice menu. Slightly cramped inside but overall a must stop in brighton lanes.

Iydea is a small and very busy express vegetarian canteen right in the heart of Brighton's North Laine area. All the food is freshly made and is on display so you can choose only what you want to go on your plate or to take away. There is an extensive breakfast menu from 9:30 every morning which changes to the lunch menu at 11:30 (12:00 Sundays). Iydea does get very busy and cramped so best to avoid peak times if you want a little more space and comfort.
